  1. Raggydoll

This is more of an idea than an actual spread, but I thought I would share it in case anyone is interested. The intention is to do a chakra-check up where you lay out one or more cards to review the state of each chakra. I started by taking out the Animal Spirit deck since it has 7 trump cards that represent each of the chakras. I placed them in a row, ordered from the first to the seventh chakra (left to right, but you can also place them vertically, starting at the bottom and going up. I just did not have enough space to do that). I also added corresponding crystals to further enhance and tap into the separate energies. Below these I then drew and placed cards from …

Hi :-) This is a spread I have used a lot - especially when it comes to revealing the hidden agenda of people that I know. It's good to use so you know who you should trust or not. I will show the spread before I comment my own experiences with it. Here is the spread: 7 cards - use your own pattern, but read them from 1 to 7. I just pick 7 cards and read them one by one. Find the person you want to read about and think of him/her. Pick a card for every one of these positions: 1) Inspiration 2) Motives 3) Intention 4) Hidden agenda 5) Strong spots 6) Weak spots 7) Goal I did this spread for some friends and family. My best friend got the Ace o…

Many of us, from time-to-time, will encounter situations where we're receiving (or suspect that we may receive) unsolicited attention from someone we would rather not deal with (it could be an office Lothario or seductress, an internet troll, a high-pressure salesman, or any other nuisance type). This spread is designed to interrogate the cards about any such activities or suspicions.

I came across this spread on the Tarot in a Teacup blog and thought it looked really fascinating. This is actually why I'm currently looking for a copy of her book Tarot Wisdom! The spread is done in the shape of an inverted pentagram. Picture with spread positions attached. 1 3 6 4 5 2 1. What have I lost? 2. What blocks me from returning? 3. What illusory chains hold me? 4. What reality holds me? 5. How can I free myself? 6. What will happen?

The discussion here about the Random Number Generators used in tarot software apps got me thinking how this might be done in an analog way using a board-game spinner. Here's the result. You can make your own spinner or buy one on-line. And if you're ever in Brattleboro, Vt, stop by Patty Newton's Silver Moon Adornments and see her big tarot-card roulette wheel. It's quite impressive. https://parsifalswheeldivination.com/2019/07/12/the-round-it-goes-decision-making-spread/

I am still rather new, have been practicing for about 4 months now. I have a question about the Celtic Cross Spread. I see so many different iterations for the 3 through 6 positions. Is there a particular right way to lay these cards? Or is it more of what feels right for the reader? Thank you!

I pulled three cards from each deck: First was the Bianco Nero Deck for Shadow Work Second was the Morgan-Greer Deck for my Physical World Third was the Aquarian Tarot for my Spirit I have had a lot of trouble finding much on the subject of multi deck spreads; So does anyone know of any books? Or is this already a thread about this and I completely overlooked it? I make my own spreads most of the time, I have a book of spreads- but I think using more decks is more specific, sometimes I get multiples of the same card from multiple decks and that wouldn't be so if I had only used one deck; I also usually do big-ish spreads though, such as 9-32 c…

Here is what the spread should look like --[1]-------[4]-- [2]-[3]--[5]-[6] AUTHOR'S NOTE: Just before you go to bed shuffle the deck and ask it what's the main theme of your dreams tonight. Then place the three cards underneath your bed frame on where you place your head. The purpose of this will hopefully the energies of these cards will feature in your dream(s). In the morning place the three cards back into the deck and shuffle the cards while asking the deck about a specific part of a dream that you remember. This is a spread I came up a few years ago for the month of February - the 1st Feb (in Ireland) is St Brigid's Day and I believe it is the 2nd in Scotland. (Imbolc?) St Brigid is a combination of the goddess Brigid and an abbess of the same name in early Christian Ireland. Most Brigidine schools have as their motto Fortiter et Suaviter (Strength and Gentleness) and so this spread is based on that motto. But the qualities could equally apply to the triple goddess, Brigid. Strength in her Smith form; Gentleness in her Healer form; and a combination of the two in her Poet form. :) 1. Lay out the cards as shown in the diagram. 2. This spread requires the reader to w…

Ikigai is a Japanese concept. It means the joy of purpose, a place of fulfilment where our talents come to fruition and we feel that we're doing what we were meant to be. In order to find our own Ikigai sweet spot, there are different aspects to consider. The first four basic questions are: What do you love? What are you good at? What does the world need? What can you get paid for? I call this the first layer. Where two of these areas overlap, four opportunities arise: Profession, Vocation, Passion and Mission. Let's call this the second layer. Seeing them laid out on the diagram was enlightening for me. It's difficult t…

I cobbled this from an initial interview spread, adding another question that resonated with me. I have previously used this on my Centennial and Barbara Walker, and I also plan to use this on my Wild Unknown and Modern Spellcaster's. I will put these readings up on my Readings Journal thread and then post the links here later. I hope that you find it useful too. Enjoy! Edit: from Daniel's comment in another thread, I'm glad to finally find out where it is from. I only wrote it in my written Tarot journal, and I wasn't able to trace back its provenance until now. It seems like it is a spread created by FireRaven, which she acknowledged was inspired by the deck intervie…

In many cultures, the days of the week are associated with the seven "classic" planets (planets that are visible with the naked eye, without the sophisticated technology developed over the last centuries). English, French and German names for the weekdays reflect the planetary "patrons". Saturday: Saturn, obvious! Sunday: Sun, obvious as well! Monday: another obvious one, the Moon of course Tuesday: named after Tyr, the Germanic/Nordic equivalent to Mars - French mardi Wednesday: another Germanic god, Woden, equivalent to Mercury - French mercredi Thursday: Germanic/Nordic god Donar, equivalent to Jupiter (both gods of thunder) - Ge…
