I named this one for the Whitney Houston song. It helps someone redirect their energy in their dating life toward finding healthy love.

I came across this Full Moon Spread by the ITF. I really like this one so wanted to share here. Usually I tend to work with my Spirit de la Lune oracle for the Full Moon, which has a spread for each full moon throughout the year in the accompanying book. But I like this spread that can be used at any full moon. 5 cards, laid out in a circle. Picture is attached. Card 1: What do I need to release from my life? Card 2: Guidance to help achieve this Card 3: What do I need to embrace to empower me Card 4: How can I enable my transformation Card 5: What can I achieve/manifest with this energy?

I designed this spread with my dear friend Nelly. This is the spread that gives me the most leverage in a reading about conflict between two people. The readings and the dyads make it complex, but the leverage is incredible.

I've recently - finally - become someone who get's called first for parties & festivals, as I teach & read in a shop in the commercial district they're always trying to "renew" around here. I noticed that those merchants with a Tarot side gig were charging $5 or $10 for a 3 card reading. I can't tell anyone anything worth charging money for with a 3 card reading. [Yes, I'm skipping those epic moments, that do happen, when you draw one card & it answers all their questions, and they now know what they need to continue their personal Quest. Screw cash, that's when you go for their firstborn!] But I developed a series of 5 card readings that really do…

I'm looking for more insight on what spreads folx currently use for someone who comes to them wanting to focus on future-only. To not review or reflect on the past, and not even necessarily focus on the present, but looking for advice on how to proceed moving forward- career, love, family, etc. What spreads typically lend themselves to this? Or, is there a recommendation for a self-designed spread that would be useful here?

Hi all, I just crafted this spread for examining how to live life more fully in 2018. Fears hold us back, but do we always know what we fear? Fear not (pun intended...), this spread will help :) Pull 1 card for each question - or more, if you feel confident in interpreting in a more story-like manner. 1. What unfounded fear do I have? 2. How can I best let go of that fear? 3. What will change in my life if I overcome the fear? 4. How can I live more fearlessly overall? 5. How can I help others overcome their fears?

really like the idea of laying tarot cards on top of 'positional significance' cards to make on the fly custom spreads, as in the deck of 1000 spreads (now OOP and fetching silly prices). of course we can just write on blank cards to get the same or better utility : ) brainstorming ideas for cards, here what i have so far: self experiences expectations root feelings others environment resources action reaction result challenges allies present esteem fate disposition education pro con advice partner reward surprise answer danger relationship conscious desires unconscious desires attitude intentions fears decision intuition lesson potential risk success things overlooked…

Although I find horary astrology much more effective than tarot for locating misplaced objects or missing people, there is something to be said for using the elemental properties of the minor and court cards as pointers for where to look for the subject of a reading. I built this spread around the suggestions of astrologer John Frawley in his book The Horary Textbook, which I adapted for use with the cards. Although the guidance doesn’t mention it, reversals can be used with this spread to imply the degree of visibility of the subject in its physical location.

I fell in love with this spread I came across from Alexis J. Cunningfolk of Worts & Cunning Apothecary. (I love her spreads and her blog in general!) This spread is just so beautiful and really calls to the sacred aspects of Samhain. I love her explanation of it too: The third and final harvest festival of the year, Samhain is the end of the bright half of the year – the roots to Beltane’s flowering branches. The part of our selves that has been slumbering since Beltane, awaken to the call of night, as we join the Spirits, Ancient Ones, Ancestors, Wild God/desses, and their horde as they clamber noisily throughout the land, welcoming in the new year. Our S…

Since I just posted Worts & Cunning's Samhain spread, I thought I would also share her beautiful Beltane spread for those approaching the other thinning veil in the Southern Hemisphere! Fire + Fields: A Beltane Tarot Spread 8 7 6 3 5 4 2 1 1. THE SLUMBERING SELF. The unconscious murmuring that guides our bright year adventures. What part of you remains dreaming from Samhain and the dark part of the year? 2. THE SEEDLING. Nurtured since the Spring Equinox, the seedlings have grown into young plants. What has been growing in your life and now is ready for the maturity of summer? 3. THE WOOD. That whi…

I have been searching Aeclectic up and down for a spread that I can´t find again. It was made of all 78 cards and spread out on the floor in the shape of a person. Two pictures was taken, one on the upper part of the "person" and one on the lower part. Is there anyone of you "old" Aeclectic members that remember this spread or at least have seen it?

January is a good time to calculate your card of the year. Simply add the numbers of this year (2026) + your birth month + your birthday, and keep adding the numbers until the sum is smaller than 22. For me, it's 14, Temperance, which I can reduce further and get 5, the Hierophant. Now that's very nice since I'm a Taurus with a rising Sagittarius, so two of my strong astrological influences show up for me this year. Does anybody else do that? I'm not big into numbers, but a Card of the Year is good to know. It can give you a first whiff of what the year's about to bring. Temperance is always a good card for me, it means that things are moving at …

I have pretty strictly used spreads for reading Tarot up until now, and I love collecting new ones and testing them out. Since getting the Mildred Payne oracles, which are really suited to intuitive reading (and Lenormand style spreads - thank you Katrinka and Flaxen!) I have this desire to go a little wild and just pull 5 cards in a row with Tarot, spreadless, and see where it goes (or maybe read Lenormand style). Has anyone played with spreadless spreads before and have any tips or advice? Does anyone love or hate reading this way? Would love to hear your opinions!

Occasionally when I'm in the mood I've done hand drawn spreads and historically instagram (Ammers10) and reddit have really like them. Thought you guys might as well! The one I'm working on now is called "Notes from Mom" and is a lunch box with affirmation notes in it. 🙂

This is a spread I had come up with a few years ago when I wanted to combine the 3-card "Mind - Body - Spirit" with the 3-card "Past - Present - Future" spreads. It gives a way for you to look at how things have changed for you, and where you're going. There are a lot of interactions between cards in this spread and, at the end, I've pointed out a few to consider. I did use this a couple of days ago, that is what brought it to mind. It worked very well and seemed to give my friend some good insight. ........Past - Present - Future Mind....1.........4........7 Body....2........5.........8 Spirit...3.........6........9 1 - Past states of mind or influences on the p…

I set myself a challenge: create a small-ish spread (I'm not a fan of anything less than five cards) that takes advantage of Elemental Dignities and the quintessence to provide additional detail. I've found that it reads well. Here is a wonderful spread created by Chiriku[/member] and first shared by them at AT. This is one of my favorite spreads for winter, so I wanted to share it here and to work with it as a reading circle spread. I highly recommend you read Chiriku's original AT post- it is so poetic! All the spread info below is quoted from that original post: * * * The Gift of Winter * * * **A spread to be used at any time in relation to Winter: in the month or two before, to anticipate its coming; at the time of the Winter Solstice, to revel in its deepest and darkest hours; or in the winter months afterward, to celebrate the "here-and-now" of this awe-inspiring season in o…

This is a spread for spiritual exploration and empowerment. I designed it with the intention of combining two decks (those who know me know that I LOVE combining multiple decks and/or systems). I just chose one deck for the "Above" positions, and one for the "Below" positions. I feel that this offers a chance to really pinpoint what energies you want to explore (or tap into) in each specific reading, so I chose my decks intuitively. But this spread will surely work just as well with only one deck, and it works great for both tarot and/or oracle cards. I added a picture of the reading that I did using this spread. This time I used two oracle decks and they are by the same …
