Lenormand

General discussion on the Lenormand.

This looks like an interesting spread and one I hadn't seen before. It takes into account the numbers on each card which will dictate how many cards to lay aside before drawing the next card in the reading. https://www.youtube.com/watch/?v=ELG4m6wAKX8

SINK OR SWIM OR WET THOSE TOES TIME! Some of you out there may be curious yet not confident enough to do one yet as it likely seems rather daunting. GT's were my teething ring, so not one or two cards at a time, but the entire spread. No time like today to dive right in. So, if you are interested use whatever system you want. I am fine with either German or French, but as for Dutch, I think that would be stretching my memory muscles a little bit as it has been a few years now since someone shared what differences she knew. Maybe not traditional either. I am aware of a few systems, but French is my favorite and German is what I would use, for this type of GT. …

..My first Lenormand deck ..It did not come with the divinatory meanings or any card spreads. 😕 ..or an Introduction. I've watched numerous You Tube un wrapping videos but still can not get the cards and their meanings down. I guess I am newer than I thought to tarot because I didn't know decks could have a number card, a tarot card, a Glyph and a color all on one card to explain it's representation.

IDEAS IDEAS IDEAS Worked out a way or two to get it down to a continent and countries within that continent yet still within the system itself and no messing with the spread once it is laid out - just need to put it to the test. From what I've done so far - it seems to work. Will play around with it a bit more over the next few days and then trial it - even if I have to do it on myself again or as another sample. I know at least five more of my past lives with the details to two of them being quite extensive. The others just what role I was in it really. However, as for the other people of the two I know, one is not family and one I have never met in this l…

I think back to Alvin and the chipmunks the 1980s cartoon where simon looked at the heiropictures and made a sentance to divine alvin would be sacfriced that full moon. Has sentences failed you or almost always proved insightful

As I thought to myself geez that a green deck I thought at first was just a Marseilles in small lenormand deck style. But as I went through the pictures it came clear it was lenormand done in a Marseille style. Like how the lenormand was done in waite style years ago Upon googling the title, this isn't the first time it was done, But imo this is a way better version I actually like thi…

Hey everyone, I’m new to the group. I have my great grandmothers 1901 Brepols Lenormand cards. I am learning to read them. Can anyone give me any tips and any history on the cards? I would love to gather as much information on them. I can feel a presence when they are near. I couldn’t figure out how to attach a photo.

I LOVE mine. There are times it is my go to. So fits with winter for me. I also edged mine in Tim Holtz Pumice Stone, two coats, and it SO matches the gray edges of the deck.

Two weeks ago my cousin wanted me to read about his upcoming increment. He said boss had fleetingly mentioned to him on 6th May (Monday) that he will get the increment letter on 10th May (Friday). So I asked the cards about the situation and I got: Mountain, Woman and Bouquet. At that moment it didn’t make any sense to me, as there was no mention of any lady in the conversations I have had with him hence I decided to drop the reading and I never got back to my cousin on the interpretation (I am sorry for not responding to him and he never asked too, guess we both got busy). Today morning when we spoke, I checked with him on his increment. He said he s…

Anybody else waiting for this one with bated breath?? I asked Mr. Butler what happened to his plans for Healing Light Lenormand, since I could no longer see the cards on his website, and find no record of it on sale yet - and he says: “I’ve completed a matching Lenormand but as yet, don’t have a publishing deal for it. Do let Lo Scarobeo know that you’re interested in my Lenormand. Customer/reader feedback helps them make decisions on what to commission and publish.” I have his Healing Light Tarot - which is a favourite - and I was rather looking forward to having an accompanying Lenormand in the same style. Please join me in requesting that Lo Scarabeo publ…

with my learning process I got going on,, I divided the topics into 4 topics below. the idea I presented is to keep it fun and light, , read to the public persona , and not the person.. also to avoid hot topics, like did x do this,, or political topics ,, will trump .. so looking for ideas for spiritual readings, mental and emotional and some more physical would be nice. spiritual, mental emotional physical. here I just did a reading on if clint eastwood would act in a movie again. some idea is,, how can live morgon work her way to the title, (it was sarah logan initially but live got split off into smackdown) that reading would be…

I know that some people read Lenormand with the card insets or at least the suit and a designation on the cards, other people don’t use the playing card insets at all. What is your preference? I don’t have very much experience to use the insets at this point. I’m not sure if I’m using the best book for learning fundamentals either. For me, at this point, trying to read the insets, would just clutter up my learning process. I watched a course on YouTube and the reader didn’t use the insets at all. He seemed to have a very strong knowledge of Lenormand. I’m trying to study it a little each day and doing the exercises in the book, Matthew’s really doesn’t go into the …

While looking for amazon us site I saw this deck scheduled to come out on Sept 27. It isn't on amazon ca why I didn't see it until i looked on the us site. https://a.co/d/ikp3qhg It's from an unknown to me publisher name Red feather. "REDFeather MBS, the Mind, Body, Spirit imprint of Schiffer Publishing, delivers a new Lenormand by Yasmeen Westwood and Kalliope Haratsidis." I like the fantasy of the rider The playing cards are there The coffin looks standard. The mice maybe too happy..

I like to pull out a few Lenormands around Halloween. Seven Stars is one of them. Anyone recall how many incarnations there are of that one? And FYI, I went on her site, Tarot by Seven, and she has the 2017 and 2015 versions. I have had at least three versions of it, but now just have one. It's the one with just the skulls and raven on the right bottom and some bottles on the right and it's numbered. Was trying to remember if that's from 2014? Anyone have that and remember the year? Anyway, anyone else have any of them? Do you have other Lenormands you'll pull out? I am very fond of Chronata's Petit Lenormand Noir. Great vibe for Hallowe…

Hello, I cannot untangle this for myself. I did a 3x3 asking what my (female) boss had taken away from our discussion. The cards are astonishingly precise...except I keep being confused by the following: the Lady fell, but also the Bear. And suddenly I simply can't decide, can Lady still be me? I keep thinking no, because I am asking about what she does with our discussion, and so I read her as Lady - on the other hand as it was a discussion with me (and pretty heated too), it may seem natural I would be part of the picture. But I think she is the main actor of that reading, and therefore since Lady fell, it is her. Yes, I'm going circles, and…

Dear card readers, I'm just word crocheting myself through a GT. First time using the 6 x 6 layout (usually 4 x 8 + 1 x 4) and I started wondering about the underlying house sequence in row 4. Tower, Garden, Mountain, Crossroads, Mice, Heart. What is the connection between these cards? Is there some kind of universal evolution indicated by this sequence, a distinct psychological/sociological process? Just some sort of coherence. I'd say no. So then, what is the rationale behind giving all the cards that land in this row (or any other for that matter) the same undertone or background, like a fixed narrative? Why this "forced proximity" of certain modifiers or subtexts? Of…
