Yesterday Peter and me watched an episode of "Vintage Tec Hunters" on TV. This time 2 guys were checking out a vast museum of penny arcade games. Among these they briefly showed an elaborate oak cabinet with an animated Gypsy fortune teller dispersing her wisdom gleaned from a set of extra large Thoth cards. I am a beginner in tarot. I just read through the meanings of all the cards recently, not yet memorized them. What are some good tarot books you recommend for me and why? Thanks for your recommendations!

Hope this is okay here, not sure where else to put this thread. Do any of you use cards and an app? When I first started I mainly used an app while I looked for the right deck for me. It felt about 75% spot on for daily readings, 95% for relationship spreads. Now that I have a physical deck I'm beginning to use it for daily readings too and I'm finding that often my physical readings directly contradict my digital. For example, today my cards gave me 9 of pentacles (woo!). My app gave me 8 of wands reversed (boo!). I'm choosing to walk forward believing my physical deck as I feel that 1) it's likely more accurate as I am able to put more of my energy into it without …

‘The Tarot: a Key to the Wisdom of the Ages’, by Paul Foster Case. I’m so excited to read it. I recently joined an esoteric organization called Builders of the Adytum which was started by Case. I’m learning about Tarot, the Qabalah, and other occult topics. Evidently this particular book discusses the Major Arcana and the numerological, astrological, Qabalastic, and symbolic aspects of each card. I just wanted to share. I also got this neat bookmark! Does anybody else have these books by Donald Michael Kraig? I know almost nothing about magick - raw newbie here. I thought it might prove very beneficial if I explore how it can be applied to the Tarot. I have only scanned the books but I've never really read them. To those who already work with magick, were these books helpful, and would you recommend them? Or do you have other books which you think are simply better, or more appropriate for beginners?

He uses the Tarot in the series, as well as in the Cluster series, to good effect IMHO. I'd like to hear other opinions on the matter. The conception of the world was unique!

I happened across a video on YouTube by Angali Shakti, a Hindu, who used to be a student in CBR's oracle school. She's very upset about this deck because she believes that: 1. Was pleasantly surprised to find this lil guy as the promo card for a box I bought in my local game store. The Tarot must really be that ubiquitous if one can find it in something as mainstream as Magic: the Gathering. Earlier this year, Clarkson Potter released The Magic: the Gathering Oracle Deck. It featured Theros though, which is a planar riff on Ancient Greek mythology. Not my cuppa tea so I skipped it.

I've been thinking a lot about this book lately and I have it....somewhere (it's in the pole barn, in a box, someplace...) and so, I reordered it. And then it occurred to me that I never really saw anyone talking about the book over the years. Have any of you worked your way completely through the book? Did it help? Or did you just do one or two exercises and call it quits? Your answers won't affect my purchase. That's a done deal. I just wondered if people found it useful?

I was lucky enough to be able to visit the Tokyo Tarot Museum at the end of November last year. It was a really wonderful little place that takes Tarot quite seriously. And, as someone who speaks almost no Japanese (and reads even less), I still felt very welcome. The museum is quite small, and is more of a shop with a cover fee (currently about ￥800 for a 90 minute visit). It is small-ish, about the size of an apartment, with seating areas, decks on display for sale, and displays of Tarot artifacts. To those who have used predictive Tarot applications/software, how accurate did you find them?

During this weekend of doing tarot readings, the young ones 15 to 20ish. Kept telling me about watching tarot readings on tik tok and you tube. I would say about 50 percent. I ran into a tarot reader in the making 🙂 So they were open more to tarot readings having seen them on tik tok. i haven't watched any tik tok but for the humourous tarot video shared cpuple of months ago.

Please move if I posted in the wrong section. So- I originally used the regular DM with borders and it didn't do much for me but languish in a cupboard until I gifted it. Recently- I tried out the borderless and for some reason, I really meshed with it much more than before. Probably a combination of life changes, me changes and, to a small extent, loving borderless decks. I don't know which livestream it was, i looked at the time but no clue where It was tweeted 3 days ago. What caught my eye at first was john edwards support. So i read the tarot lady tweet and she shares she was blocked. I was not sure what to title this post. But i think it is important. In the past on psychic reading site, i saw couple of times a person would just go into advertising spiel instead of geniunely trying to help the person.

Hello, i remember seeing a Tarot deck with many famous celebrities like Madonna and Prince on some cards, i can't remember the name of it now but i'm guessing there have been so many. I recently bought the David Bowie Tarot deck which was fascinating and there was some Star wars Tarot images lurking around somewhere online. Are there any more celebrity decks that can been seen anywhere.
