Welcome to the study and discussion group for the Everyday Enchantment Tarot by Poppy Palin. I hope everyone who is enjoying this deck (or not) will join us in examining the Everyday Enchantment and share their viewpoint of Poppy's unusual new tarot. I decided to start a thread for the World card because every woman pictured here took care of me during my recent hospital stay. The only exception was that nobody wore the hijab. I'm the one in the middle with the white hair who is knitting except that I was crocheting and not knitting. When I knew I was probably going to be admitted to the hospital, I threw a bunch of granny squares and yarn into my bag. All I had to do was take one look at my feet to know I'd not be coming home for awhile, so I wanted something to do. The day of my discharge from the hospital, I drew the World card. The Death card in the Everyday Enchantment just warms my heart. It shows a child sitting with an elderly grandma on a bench out in the winter snow. She's preparing the child for her death, which could come at any time. I just really identify with that card and love how Poppy dealt with it. I'm a great-grandmother now and I often think about how my own passing will cause people to feel. I've always hated how people will grieve at my passing. Even as a young person I felt that way. If I could afford or arrange my own funeral to have a second line funeral, that's what I'd do. Yes, I'm gone but remember what I loved when I was young and be happy.I loved people, music, love…
