I haven't done this for a while so count me in. I've got some new decks that need some attention and an oracle I need to do some more work on. So this week I'll be using my Dragon Age Inquisition and my unfinished UnCommon Auspex 😊

I'm back again this week with the Prairie Tarot and the Wild Unknown, because I didn't touch them last week.

Welcome Back FeeLion!

Thanks for the welcome @VGimlet 😊 it's been a while but I'm looking forward to it. First order of business will be to do a quick deck interview, which should be interesting considering it's not exactly a traditional style of deck. I still haven't even looked at all of the cards yet! I know a lot of the images are actually used in game, which by the way I'm not at all familiar with. I remember seeing the Death card ages ago though and thinking what an depiction it was.  ... Omg it wasn't Death it was the Tower! 🤦‍♀️

Here it is...

Thanks for the new thread VG; I'm in this week with the Tarot of the Absurd and the Post-psychedelic Cyberpunk Tarot.

TheFeeLion, that's quite an eye-opening Tower card!

This week I'll be using the Tarot of the Absurd, created and self-published by Jessica Rose Shanahan. I'll also be using another self-published deck, the Post-psychedelic Cyberpunk by Masha Falkov. The draws for today are the Emperor and Waterfall:

emperor.jpgwaterfall_0002.jpg

With his belligerent expression and stabbing finger, I can almost feel the big boot of this Emperor on the back of my neck. He's become overzealous in his law and order tactics and extreme in his attitude. There's no fatherly concern here, only a "my way or the highway" mindset. The Waterfall brought to mind something neuropsychologist Rick Hanson said: “We live life at the lip of a waterfall… our mind is forever trying to grab what has already disappeared over the edge.” Though we might like to put life in a box complete with all our labels and preferences, constant change is the natural state of all things. While this Emperor is busy trying to Gorilla glue his box tightly shut, the bottom has already spilled most of its contents out. Fear generally brings a hostile perspective such as his. The only cure is accepting that he can't control everything, especially change.

Whouw! @TheFeeLion!

That is a magnificent Wolf Spirit. Wolf is my ancestral Clan Guardian from my Father's tribe!

I am using the Dream Raven Tarot this week.

Hugs to you all!♥

@Mi-Shell I thought I'd see if there were any other wolves in the deck for you 😁 turns out there is only one other. After a bit of digging I found out the main character in the card from the game is called Solos. He is also called Fen-Harel (elven God of betrayal) who has shrines which depict both a black and a white wolf. There is a whole lot more to the story but I think that The Tower depicts him in his guise as The Dread Wolf

Oh! ♥ Thank you @TheFeeLion!

I was also reminded of the Fernris Wolf.

But to me this Tower Wolf feels more like a fierce protector....
