Switching to the Blood Moon Tarot tomorrow, even though I barely got enough time with the Botanical.   I think that one is going on my more later list, I feel like I need more time with it, even though I find it a bit challenging to use.  Or maybe that is why I want more time with it, because challenge is good, right?

Hope everyone is doing well.

Thank you, @VGimlet

All OK here so far - still deeeeeep in lock-down at least until the end of May.

But spring is here and the weather gets warmer.

I will use my Paulina Tarot this week.

Hugs to all!♥

Oh wow, just a beautiful deck ❤️ Great choice, Mi-Shell.

I’ll be using the Witches Tarot by Ellen Cannon-Reed, with awesome art by Martin Cannon. (Not to be confused with the Dugan one.) Very excited to devote some time to this one for the first time in a while.

Thank you for the thread, VG! 🌻

I'm in with the Victorian Fairy Tarot.

I haven't looked at these cards in a very long time. They feel perfect for this week.

Victorian Fairy Tarot for me also, thank you VG

I usually use this one in the autumn, I'll see what it says to me in spring!

Thank you for the new thread, VG!

My Blood Moon is still on its way and I haven't worked with the Botanica yet, though I've had the Majors only deck for many years and like that one a lot.

My decks for the week are the Universal Mind Oracle and the Next World Tarot.

Happy New Moon week to all!

This week I'll be using the Ferret Tarot, created and self-published by Elaine Moertl. Along with it, I'll be drawing from Nature's Wisdom Oracle, created by Mindy Lighthipe and published by Schiffer Books. The cards for today are the Nine of Cups and Fish:

nine%2Bof%2Bcups.jpgfish_0002.jpg
We frame the moment, give it our full attention, savour and hold it,
in an awareness that the moment will pass. ― Louisa T. Brits

Whoa buddy, you might not want to chug-a-lug that drink of contentment quite so fast. Moertl describes the Nine of Cups as the satisfaction of the simple pleasures of life. This is a moment to soak in and enjoy rather than gobble down and grasp. It will pass, but if we pay attention, we'll have a lovely memory to recall when we need to lighten our day. The Fish card has been assigned the keyword fearlessness; most fish don't have eyelids (and if they do, they're transparent), so their eyes are open always. Fear is an innate part of our biology that we can't get rid of, but acknowledging it without feeding it can help us respond wisely rather than react. When those Nine of Cups moments pass, we can keep swimming forward, staying mindfully in the present.

Do not fear things that arise in the mind; question them, know them. The truth is more than thought and feelings, so do not believe and get caught by them. See the whole process arising and ceasing. This understanding gives rise to wisdom. —Achaan Chah

The Ferret Tarot is adorable!! What a lovely and insightful reading as always. I have never associated fish with courage before, but I do now 🤩

The Ferret Tarot is printed on regular, unlaminated cardstock, but it never fails to make me smile! I also never associated fish with fearlessness until the booklet mentioned they don't have eyelids. 🙂 Thanks for your kind words, @vulprix!

You are so welcome, @Bodhiseed.

I really love the Witches Tarot. It is so unapologetically funky and personal to the author herself. Her interpretation of Kabbalah is unique for sure (and deemed worthy of criticism by some), but I really enjoy decks with such an individual stamp.

I even love the bodybuilders on several pentacles cards. It’s like “LOL get it? The suit of pentacles is that of the physical! Eat your vegetables!” (Pic included.) Sure, they’re a little Lex Luger for my tastes, but you wouldn’t wanna mess with them. I’m a fan of pro wrestling, if you can’t tell 😄

In my reading about the deck’s strengths, I drew the 7 of Swords (Fire), Prince of Wands, and 10 of Wands (Air). The deck is about process and manifestation—creative expression, and discernment in carrying out work. You can’t get the results without the journey.  I can very much appreciate this interpretation of how to best approach the Witches Tarot. We are what we do!
