Each week we will be picking a deck (or decks) to work with for the week. All are welcome. Please join us! The only rules we have are the Tarot Tea & Me rules; be respectful to each other. You can drop in and out anytime, time and real life permitting. New to tarot? Long time reader? Come on in. 1. Please post with your chosen deck for the week. 2. Mi-Shell Posted June 18, 2021 Posted June 18, 2021 Here in Ontario June 2 was the first day, the “stay at home” order was lifted and last Friday was the first day the shops were allowed to open – with minimal capacity. The Tuesday following was my first outing to town. Lo and behold, we do have a (new to me) New Age shop in downtown! I HAD to go in- just to look.... And the very first thing I saw was a huge rack full of Tarot and Oracle decks! But I only had eyes for the Owl on the cover of a box called “Otherkin Tarot” by Siolo Thompson! I gawked at all the other decks, an extensive collection of nearly everything currently new in the market – and a few trusted staples of the deck world, but this one came home with me! I am partial to animal and plant themed decks and also do have the Linestrider by the same author and no doubt, the Plant Oracle she created will soon be added to my collection. It was not only buying a new deck, the act of just being in a shop again was a thrill and a sign, that the pandemic is on its way out! Soo the Otherkin will be my deck for the coming weeks 🙂

I have only been out between home and work since the pandemic began, and it was very strange going to a store for the first time in so long. And now I'm fully vaxxed, it's strange taking the mask off, even outside. I like the look of that Otherkin Tarot.

I'll be pairing it with an oracle I created called "Principles to Live By." vulprix Posted June 20, 2021 Posted June 20, 2021 Really cool "Persistence" draw from your oracle, @Bodhiseed. Is the entire oracle wood with burnt-in images? So difficult to be untethered! :) I like that Eckhart Tolle quote. Gives a lot to chew on!

I had an acquaintance from the Aeclectic forum who used to do laser work. I drew the symbols, sent them to her, and she cut the tiles and burned the images on them for me. 😊 That Tolle quote is one I need to put in my pocket and remember! ~~~ Edited June 22, 2021 by Bodhiseed
