One uses the card the significator faces: coins are spring (fire), batons summer (earth), cups are autumn (water) and swords are winter (air). The cards (deuce to king) are the first to thirteenth week of a season, e.g. King of Batons is the thirteenth week of summer. Aces are the season in general. For some questions that require longer time frames coins, batons, cups and swords can be days, weeks, months and years, respectively. I don’t tend to use the trumps for timing. I do have some associations for them: the Bateleur is Wednesday or within three months.
