And I bet it's an awesome find since the price for a new copy is rather prohibitive. I can't buy decks until September, so this goes on my wishlist for now.

With that, my RWS-derived trifecta (along with the After Tarot Kit and the Vice Versa Tarot Kit) is complete. I will open them along with the Commemorative Set on New Year's Day. :)

It was given to me as an advanced Christmas gift by one of my closest friends. Last month, I was surprised when he told me that he was into cardistry, and in fact is quite adept in throwing cards around and having them come back to him like a boomerang! So I showed him my hidden Tarot decks and playing cards collection while he showed me a few tricks. I offered to read him his cards but he decided to proceed with it only when something's bugging him. And wow he remembered that I'm trying to grow my pc collection for when I take a stab at cartomancy, which is quite popular here in my country. Anyway, thanks bro! :D
Page of Ghosts Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 I promised no more tarot decks this year... and no more tarot decks are coming. It's the Blaue Eule Lenormand, that old classic deck. I thought it would do me good to look at a simple and old deck when trying to learn lenormand :) My Blue Owl came today and she's beautiful. I can clearly recognise each card from the imagery and the playing card inserts doesn't bother me as much as I previously had thought. I'm very excited to try her out, probably next week together with my Centennial. I crave that vintage art style :)

I ordered it new (off EBAY, which I hardly ever have problems with) and it NEVER ARRIVED! Ebay posted a refund to me, given that the sender never provided a tracking number. Call me superstitious, though, but now I'm wondering if it's a sign I shouldn't get or have this deck. :(

I saw the Ascension to Paradise deck come up for a very reasonable price on eBay. This is the second set in the Bird Cards series, and although Bird Cards is still in print, Ascension to Paradise has gone out of print (there are still copies available from the creators, but the shipping costs would be high to the US since I believe they are all shipped from South Africa). I also made a trade for the Tarot of Vampyres. I've been going back and forth on this deck forever, but recently watched a review video that put me back in the "want" camp. The woman I traded with was actually looking for loose incense supplies, so I traded some herbs I had around for the deck. Both decks should be here next week! I'm awaiting the I Ching- Dead Moon deck by Luis Royo. Wow, this is hella beautiful. And I bet it's an awesome find since the price for a new copy is rather prohibitive. Raggydoll Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Ok, so I received my two versions of the Bohemian Gothic (standard and mini), and much like I expected, the mini is the one that I really really adore. (Don't get me wrong, the standard size is really nice to, and very useful for studying the cards more closely, just not AS nice as the mini, in my opinion). Lately I have found that mini-decks are right up my alley. This one is just slightly smaller than my trimmed Stella's tarot and it feels so perfect in my hands (I have the kind of hands that hurt when I shuffle big cards). And mini-cards also looks so damn cute! ;D

It's by Race Point Publishing, the same house that produced the magnificent 25th Anniversary Edition of the Enchanted Tarot. As with that set, this one brags some deliciously yuuuuge Pierre Madenie cards. Yum! :P
RavenOfSummer Posted December 28, 2017 Posted December 28, 2017 Not the postman BUT...I received the Badgers Forest Tarot as a holiday gift :D It was top of my wish list and I'm so excited to have it. I'm waiting until we get home from holiday travels to open it, but it's hard!!! Also, pre-ordered the Enchanted Spell Oracle and Hedgewitch Botanical Oracle, so will have some treats coming to me in 2018. The first comes out in April and the second in June, but I believe B&N will hold the one until both are ready to ship together. It would be nice to have them in time for Midsummer!
