cosita Posted October 13, 2018 Posted October 13, 2018 Finally received the Tarot de Maria Celia and also finally pulled the trigger on the Mibramig Magical Tarot, which I've always wanted but it was one of those I kept on putting in my cart and then putting back. Both are lovely and I'm so happy. I already knew I was going to like the Maria Celia but the Mibramig was a pleasant surprise. It's much nicer than in pictures and it was love as soon as I got it out of the box. (( A good tarot day, all in all.

This is essentially a repro of the Madenié, a gorgeous historical TdM restored by Yves Renaud which I have and love. Packard’s version has been ‘aged’ and the cards are huge but there’s something about it...

The first is the Sacred Mothers and Goddesses (formerly Goddess Blessings Oracle) deck by Claudia Olivos, which I backed during summer 2017. It was more than worth the wait. The deck is gorgeous!!! As soon as I had it in my hands my soul was saying, "yessssss!" So many of the goddesses I'm not familiar with, so really looking forward to learning more about them. This deck is going to be released in a mass market version next year by Blue Angel. The second is the Flora Oracle by Maya Rain. It's a long story, but the creator ending up gifting this deck to me, and I'm so grateful and excited to work with it. I've had my eye on it forever. I love her art rendering of the plants, and she has chosen such a beautiful blend of magical plants to include. This one really speaks to my herbalist soul 😍🌱 I'll have to take better pictures of these in daylight. But as you can see I'm already having a great birthday!! 🎈

My Minchiate Etruria finally arrived as well, after that month long delay. And today I got my Enchanted Tarot, which I'd been eyeing for a while now, but kept setting aside in favor of indie decks.

As a bonus, Mr. Vinitski kindly gave me a discount because of a problem with the order, and I just got an unexpected refund from Blue Cross, so the cost of the deck is hardly making a dent in my checking account. If this deck is as beautiful in real life as in the pictures - and tarot decks usually are, aren't they? - I will be a very happy Grandma when I open the package.

I was able to get one of the extra decks through her waitlist and I'm really looking forward to getting it! I should also be getting the Persephone Tarot (Tricolor Edition) and the Dreamkeeper's Tarot this month, as long as everything goes according to plan. The waiting is so hard!!

And I finally caved on The Victorian Romantic Tarot even though I'm not sure if I'll like the metallic overlay. I might actually have another a Kickstarter deck that's been delivered since I left but I'm not sure. I really have to stop buying decks.

Thoughtful Posted November 8, 2018 Posted November 8, 2018 Figure this out, not having been a lover of the Rider Waite deck l have just ordered it :biggrin: :biggrin: Never like the colouring in the usual decks, too much pale, too much yellow.... it just seemed so nondescript But in my defence l have a black bordered and very colourful deck coming in from China. l looked at this for weeks on Ebay, it kept drawing me, and for the silly price of Just over £5 l caved. Now with all this lush colour and black border l hope it brings the Rider Waite more alive to my senses.

It also has a fun LWB that's surprisingly informative about little details on the cards. (It was shipped quickly from the creators in Austria, a quirky company that creates imaginary histories for their products.)
Raggydoll Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 I am eagerly awaiting three goodies from Little Red Tarot: the Many Moons calendar, the Prisma Visions Tarot, plus the Queen Darcy tarot (a deck by Dame Darcy that's been inspired by Alice in wonderland). Later this year (or in the beginning of next year), I will receive my pre-order of the Bonestone and earth flesh tarot. That will be my Christmas present to myself. I have mostly been selling decks these past months but now I'm almost done with culling down my collection and I feel that it is time to slowly and strategically add to it again. And now I have some money that I got from selling decks that will go toward these new investments ^-^
