I just got Poppy Palin's new deck--the Everyday Enchantment. My birthday is Monday so it's here early, but that's always fun to get birthday presents early, right? This is the only recent deck I really wanted. I've outgrown the Tarot mania I had the first few years.

Everyday Enchantment really beautiful. The only thing I feel is a drawback for me (not for everyone) is that it's such a BIG deck! I love the card stock and the art work, but it's definitely too big for my hands. I don't care, though. I've had sooooo many astounding readings with the Wild Spirit over the years that there was no way I was going to live without her new deck. Poppy Palin somehow infuses her decks with an amazing energy, even though they're mass produced.

Maybe someday they'll publish a pocket sized deck and then, of course, I'll have to have that one, too.

I haven't done readings for anyone with the deck yet, but when I do, I'll definitely share the experience here. I'll do some exchanges with it.

Speaking of exchanges, I haven't forgotten that I have two exchanges to do here. I just haven't had time with all the holiday "stuff". Things come up that I didn't have in mind. I moved back to Oregon where I have all my family and people drop in a lot and they also plan stuff FOR me so I've been really busy. Monday is my birthday, too, and tomorrow is Thanksgiving of course. I'm going to be having dinner at my youngest son's house.

Grizabella l have had some really astonishing readings from the Everyday Enchantment.  It is not everyone's taste but l love it, am pleased that l am not alone.  They are rather large cards as you say,  but l trimmed mine down and they are now a perfect size.

Have a great Birthday for Monday as well as enjoying your Thanksgiving

The postman just brought me a vintage copy of Alice in wonderland (that also contains Through the looking glass and The hunting of the Snark). I have read these books several times in digital form but I wanted a nice hardback copy to add to my collection. It will make it easier to refresh my memory when I use the new Queen Alice tarot (that has no real guidebook to it) but I also intend to use this book for bibliomancy..  ^-^

(And can you see how well this deck and book go together? I promise, I did not try and color match them this just happened by chance - lucky chance  ;) )

On its way is a copy of AGM Urania Tarot of A.E. Waite (English version) with the crackle backs. It is very hard to find here in the US, so I’m glad I was able to snap it up!

Tarot of Musterberg arrived today. Beautiful, unlaminated TdM style deck with a sense of humor. :)  I love it. Very expressive courts. It also has a fun LWB that's surprisingly informative about little details on the cards.

(It was shipped quickly from the creators in Austria, a quirky company that creates imaginary histories for their products.)

I just got mine - did you buy from Austria ? They told me NOT to, as the postage was so high. I bought mine from tarot.bg.

Oh how awesome!!  I did a bibliomancy reading here a little while ago and really want to do it again!!  This is so exciting, Raggydoll.  Pictures, we need lots of pictures!

Yes, bought from Curio & Co. directly. I didn't ask them anything before I did it. I'm in the Pacific, so I don't usually think about the shipping being high; it's almost always high. But I just checked, and I would've saved 16 euro with your link (a horrible temptation of a link I hadn't seen before. What have you done to me.  :P Well, at least the shipping is very good, so thanks.  )

A shiny, new copy of Book M arrived.  As you can see in the photo, after a few years, it was time.  :)

It's a fascinating read, my daily companion, and the companion book to the deck that's taught me more than any other, Tabula Mundi.  Beyond that, it's a great tarot book on its own, especially for anyone interested in the Thoth.

The mailman already brought something wonderful for my birthday. I got the Everyday Enchantment Tarot. It's a phenomenal deck and I'm thrilled with it. I wasn't very interested in it as I was just watching the scans of each card as it was being created but my gosh, I'm putting all my other decks in the closet and just using this one now.

Three wonderful items arrived today!

My customized Marchetti Tarot! Ciro's final deck, with my name printed on the bag and on the signed Zodiac card. Just breath-taking!

Also got an English version of the AGM/Urania Tarot of A.E. Waite (Premium version) with the crackle backs! Have been looking for this one for quite a while, so my patience finally paid off.

And lastly, a beautiful Pictorial Key to the Tarot (full color) published by Causeway Books. Used but in pristine condition with color card illustrations that are just beautiful!

It's been a great day...

I love this deck, really good colours and just feels so good to hold and shuffle. It's really nice quality and I'm very happy with mine. I ordered a spare from the same shop in Germany, as they're not available in the UK. I know the Typeface isn't the original one but that doesn't bother me, and no copyright on the cards either.

:'( I ordered the Kabbalistic Tarot from Tarotmania on Dec 1, & it hasn’t arrived yet! I realize it shipped from Gneva, but it seems to have been stuck in NYC for 8 days. Is this common? I read their ‘quick ship’ reviews...

My Dark Goddess is already on its way, thanks for Raggydoll[/member] for passing on the announcement that it, along with Tarot of the Crone, is going out of print. I had been wondering if I owed myself a Christmas present, and it turns out that I did! :D

Two great additions to my RWS collection arrived this weekend!

First, the Tarot-size version of Pam's Vintage Tarot by reall! It's gorgeous! Looks just like a vintage deck should, in my mind. Love that it's borderless, with no titles (and with such iconic images it's no problem) and a linen finish that's so nice to hold and shuffle. It was a hit at our Meetup yesterday!

And a psychedelic version of the RWS called the Waite on Acid tarot came! Found it on Etsy in a shop called Tarottica. It's groovy to hold and look at...just hope it doesn't cause flashbacks!

X-D  That looks like an awesome deck!!  And I thought the Albano Waite was on acid but I'm sure this deck has that one beat!

Canid, how did I not know you were here?

Once decks are shipped across country lines they fall into "at Customs" grey area. The main reason I don't sell outside the US anymore. I've had decks stuck in Customs 8 weeks or more. It only took once for PayPal to refund their purchase price. And of course the decks finally show up...And some countries it is illegals to ship decks into.

Two holiday decks for me (after a year of no new decks):

Sola Busca Tarot,  the limited Giordano Berti edition. Gorgeous blue marbled box, large cards and a gold shimmery bag...very shiny pretty! The cards are printed on amazing card stock as well. I want to study this deck in the coming year, as it is quite unusual as well as being historically significant.

Darkness of Light Tarot (2nd. Edition). Saw this on some YouTube walk through and had to get it! Very wintry in its pallette, with a Game of Thrones vibe. But it is one of the best RWS-inspired decks I have ever seen! It does not strictly copy the images but pays homage to them. The artist, Tony diMauro, has done amazing job with this evocative deck.

Hope everyone is getting a new deck or two this holiday season!
