Portia Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 I received the US Games version of the Ethereal Visions Illuminated Tarot in the mail today. This deck is so much more beautiful in person. The ornate style blends with the almost minimalistic imagery in a really beautiful way. Cards that seemed too pared down in photos come to life in hand. The Moon is a good example. The woman"s dreamy, faraway expression gives food for thought and I didn't notice she was surrounded by clouds, which evokes the Moon"s distortive nature. The cardstock and presentation are wonderful. The deck has a soothing vibe but I have a feeling it will pack a punch as it very closely follows RWS. This is a definite bargain for the price, and, at first glance, has surpassed my expectations.

It's a subscription box that sends packages out for each sabbat. https://www.sabbatbox.com/ I also ordered an WEvolve box from Cratejoy, which often send oracle decks. There's also a couple of tarot-themed boxes on there.

A dear friend of mine who is a shamanic practitioner gifted it to me a couple of months ago. It has become one of my favorites! Enjoy it!

I think it was worth it to hold out for an extra special treat. This will be a very inspiring art deck for me, I'm very into grayscale, black and white art at the moment and it's close to the rws enough so I will be able to read with it. The Hanged Man in this deck looks like me too, and is wearing my stripy pyjama pants!

MysticMonkey Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 Yesterday my Tarot of the Dead turned up. Fun little deck but the box is puzzling. I know Llewellyn are known for their big boxes but the little box inside the big one made me scratch my head. It's like they listened to feedback and this was their solution but it's still too big for the deck so they suggest wrapping in a cloth or bag but then why would I store a bagged deck in a box? Bewildering. Also not delivered by the postman but I also recently purchased the Everyday Witch Tarot app.

It arrived yesterday and I'm thrilled with it. Because it's a wrap it can double up as a small reading cloth for 1-3 card readings The seller is on Etsy and their store is called JesseBobCrafts.

I also have the Land sky oracle ordered. I have really grown to love the White Sage tarot so I wanted the oracle to go with it. I look forward to learning more about the yoga teachings that it is built upon. There are some other pre-orders that I placed last year that will show up sometime these coming months. Bonestone and Earthflesh is one that I’m extremely excited about but i don’t expect to receive it until late spring.
