:D I couldn't resist - I was trying to cut down on the purchasing, but...

I saw the Wild Unknown at my friend's house, and loved it, so I was weak to the price drop!

It took me a long time to want that deck but I was watching a review and saw many of the cards and realized it is really an animal deck.  I love animal decks and was lucky to get it at a much reduced rate than when it first came out!  I'm happy to have the deck now. :)

Edit:  Oops, forgot to mention that I ordered the Tabula Mundi Colores Arcus.  The 78 cards, the 14 extra cards and the book.  I won't be ordering anymore decks for awhile (aside for the one I have pre-ordered)!  But being a part of this forum now has really excited me about Thoth decks.  I have the Crowley tarot but I rarely use it and would like to learn more about the Thoth system.  Thanks guys!  :P  :D

I also took a long time, really long time, to get the Wild Unknown. I kept seeing it everywhere and didn't really feel like there would be much of a difference if I owned it or not but I'm very glad that I took the plunge some months ago so I could experience it for myself. It's a really good deck that I like a lot and the commercial publishing is a pretty solid production too ;D

Lucifer's Tarot just waded up our shores. This is going to be delicious. ;)

Finally got the 25th Anniversary Edition of The Enchanted Tarot. This is my very first set from Race Point Publishing, and it is came on a good, strong, and solid box. I can't wait to open it!

I just got in my Witchbone Tarot and Oracle decks. They smell a little funky, but I haven't had time to cleanse them and break them in. And my Anima Mundi preorder looks to be on schedule, since the artist approved the deck proofs a little while ago.

I'm going to buy the Enchanted tarot soon, and them I'm going to hold off on deck buying until after the holidays. I haven't been reading much recently, so I can't justify any splurges. Plus, gotta save my money for Christmas shopping.

Anyone else get lured by the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales? I ordered the Earthbound Oracle and the Story Oracle from Etsy, and a few decks (Linestrider, Celtic Tree Oracle, Tarot of the Magical Forest, Art of Life) as a part of my holiday gift from my husband/daughter. Amazon and B&N were running sales, so with the promo codes i was able to get them for $10-12 each. I won't see the decks until the holidays, but that's okay. Well, sorta. Gives me something to look forward to.

$10 to $12 each that's crazy! :o

There are some nice, brand new decks that usually retail around that price tho, like the Lost Tarot of Nostradamus and The English Magic Tarot, both of which I heartily recommend.

crazy expensive or crazy cheap? I think they are pretty good deals for new decks. Decks are usually $20 here in the US, at least if you have to order via Amazon or Barnes and Noble. We don't have many local shops that sell them. Amazon had a $5 of $20 coupon on Friday (my husband, daughter, and I all have accounts so I was able to order a deck along with their holiday shopping- everything was dipping in and out of crazy cheap prices on Amazon all weekend so we nabbed a few books and things that were on wishlists) and B&N had a few steep sales plus 20% off all weekend, plus member discount and free shipping. Plus, if you use camelcamelcamel, and the price dips on Amazon (which it did momentarily for a few decks) it will email you so you can buy it at the low price.

It's crazy cheap, gingerblue! Bought the Linestrider earlier this year for around $20. Add the shipping to my country + taxes + service fee and it rose to $31. :'(

Finally got the Sol Invictus: The God Tarot! I so want to work with it, but I would have to wait until the solstice. I'm so excited!

That's awesome! I love feeling excitement about new decks. Every deck is so different. It's like interacting with a whole different energy with each different deck. I love that about Tarot/Oracle. It's always something new and something thought provoking.

Same here. :D I have to be careful not to overdo it tho, or the high will wear out in time.

I've got a Wild Wisdom of the Faery Oracle heading my way - haven't bought anything for ages and I feel quite out of touch with what's new in the tarot world. Last tarot I bought was Pagan Otherworlds which is beautiful but the customs charges are putting these independent decks beyond reach now.

Finally got the Tarocchino Mitelli and the Golden Lenormand Oracle. Both are so gorgeous!

I got the Tabula Mundi a few days ago but have been too busy on the new computer to spend any time with the deck.  I will next week.  I need to drum up some readings!

I just received 2 decks, "Ghost Tarot" by Davide Corci and "Tarot Familiars" by Lisa Parker. :)

For my finale, I ordered two decks that I know I absolutely cannot do without.

First is the magnificent Promethean Oracle by Sophia Shultz and Marc Cogan.

The next one, the very last Tarot deck I'd fulfill from my list in quite a while, is a rare Russian deck that I've dreamt of and researched a lot on and lusted after for quite some time. It is the exquisite Tarot of Shadows by Vera Sklyarova. Everytime I say its name I can hear my heart sing. I'm in love, I'm telling ya. ❤

With this deck, a deck that mirrors the Atu of The Devil in all its 78 cards, I finally (and ironically) find myself sated. Toodle-oo. 8)

EmpyreanKnight: Oh, that sounds so fabulous!

I am awaiting the Bohemian Gothic third edition, both standard size and mini... Have been wanting to add this deck to my collection for quite some time so I'm really looking forward to it. I don't have that many "dark" decks (at least not in the traditional sense, but I very much count my Stella's Tarot as a darker 'shadowy' deck since that's the way it communicates to me). I decided to wait until after October was over before I ordered this deck because I wanted to make sure that I still desired it as much even when the "darker deck-season" had lost it peak a bit :)

I find the cold, long nights very conducive to using my dark decks, Raggydoll. Perfect for shadow work.

Two different sizes for the same deck? I'm sure you're very much taken with it too, just as I am with the Shadows. I hope we'd both learn a lot from them. :)

I promised no more tarot decks this year... and no more tarot decks are coming. It's the Blaue Eule Lenormand, that old classic deck. I thought it would do me good to look at a simple and old deck when trying to learn lenormand  :)

I caved and bought all 3 Skullgarden decks during their sale. I got the shipping notice this morning and I will soon have the Wooden Tarot in my hands. It is absolutely my last deck until the new year.

Yes, two different sizes! This is mainly because I prefer working with smaller decks so the mini will probably be my work horse and the other one more for study and for collection purposes (and also because I had a coupon code  ;D)

I'm awaiting the I Ching- Dead Moon deck by Luis Royo. I believe it's a recently OOP deck, and I stumbled across it at an in-print price on the site of a small esoteric shop. Probably won't be working with it too much right away, since I think I have too much on my plate to do studying the I Ching justice right now, but I do plan to learn at some point and I love the art of this deck.

...Speaking of that, I recently received my first rune sets (two of them!) so will be focusing on that in terms of studying a new-to-me divination system. I posted some pics of the sets here in case anyone wants to see them :)

The Renaissance Tarot and the Minchiate Deck and Book Sets, both by Brian Williams, finally made their way to my home. It feels like Christmas came early. I can't wait to begin working with them. :)

Also, with these I've now reached the 100-deck mark in my collection. I feel fully sated now, so I'm going to put my deck-buying on hold until my birthday in September. I'm just waiting for a few decks that I've already ordered and paid for.

The Earthbound Oracle arrived today. Love the illustrations on these and like the fact that the interpretations can be quite open - just a keyword on cards but no LWB.
