Hi everyone! I’ve been reading tarot for about a year now but I still get hung up with reading for myself. However I never have issues reading for others. My goal is to learn as much as I can from multiple sources and from some of the veteran tarot readers here.

any tips for reading for yourself would be highly appreciated!

Hello and welcome @Serendipity94 :animated-smileys-signs-085:

About reading cards for oneself I often read that we have to try to stay as neutral as we can, of course nothing easy at times!

Hey @Serendipity94 welcome to the TT&M Family :animated-smileys-signs-085: Some people have no problems with reading for themselves and some have. It is quite challenging to stay detached... I read somewhere that if you read for yourself, pretend your read for someone else.

Welcome! 😀

When reading for yourself, it can be helpful to begin with readings that revolve around things that have already transpired. Like how the day went. That way you will learn how the deck speaks to you. It will be beneficial once you read about the future or about unknown factors. Other than that, it’s down to study and practice!

That makes complete sense. I’m still learning to control my ego self when dealing with my readings
