Hi ! 

I'm Life and I'm new to tarot. 

My friend bought me my first tarot deck 3 days ago ( magic tarot by Amaia Arrazola ) , I know that it is not the typical first tarot deck but I reaaaallly wanted it ! 🙃 

The first day I introduced myself and let it rest, the second day I cleansed it and went through the cards ( I wrote my interpretation of each card ) and shuffled. 

Any tips on how to proceed forward are welcomed ( I've read about interviewing the deck but I don't want to do anything wrong ) .

Reading cards is a result of study and practice. You can do that on your own, and you do it with people here.

Just a minor caveat, though:
I had a look at some images online, and TBH I have no idea what to make of a lot of this:

 

The Star and the Wheel of Fortune are recognizable, but I don't know how they chose the other images. It doesn't seem to follow any known reading system. Did it come with a companion book?

If it's not explained how those relate to Tarot, you might be better off using it on its own terms, like an oracle deck. Some quirky decks can work quite well that way. It might be confusing for discussion purposes here, though. If you post any readings, I'd suggest posting a photo of the spread. Otherwise, you're going to get people interpreting that 5 of Swords, 9 of Coins, Queen of Cups, and 3 of Batons according to something like this:

 

I'm not saying you got a bad deck. I have a few wonky ones I Iove, and yours certainly looks like fun. I'm just giving you a heads up to avoid misunderstandings and confusion later. 😉

It came with a booklet but the explanations are just the standard I guess.

 

There was something in that deck that spoke to me but I understand that it may be difficult for a beginner like me. 

 

I've read that is a mix of both tarot styles, keeping the order of tarot de Marseille.

Welcome to our community @Life What a great name for the forum, it made me think of the song by Des'ree called Life 🙂

Exploring a deck and learning tarot takes time, so have patience and just keep going with it! I really recommend practically using tarot and handling the decks, try to read for others and yourself. You learn so much and get more experienced by practice. Soon it will get easier as you understand more and more

good luck with the deck interview. You can always post in the tarot sections on the forum if you need any help or to discuss anything. When you  get to 5 posts you can post readings to get help with and also take part in exchanges on the forum with others 🙂

I think that the best deck is the one you feel connected with. It may not be the easiest way to get started but to have a deck that you love makes you use it more.

My first deck was the Jungian Tarot. I never understood much of it -and I still don´t! But it made me want to learn more about tarot which was all that really mattered. 🤩
