Lovely lot of decks this week, y’all 🙂

I will be using the Deviant Moon Tarot. Such a treat!

This week I'll be using the Neuzeit Tarot created by Walter Wegmuller and published by AG Muller. The 'oracle' I'll be using is a combination of two sets of Rory's Story Cubes - the original and Voyages set. These dice were created by Rory O'Connor and produced by Gamewright. Today's card and die are Five of Wands and Fire:

Two flowers rise tall, while a third struggles to catch up and two younger ones are shadowed beneath. If you've ever been the new employee or member of a group, you know how hard it is to be noticed or heeded by the old guard. They want to do things the way they've always done them, and they don't look favorably on anyone who wants to try something new that might disrupt the status quo. While such intimidation might work for a while, voices will eventually demand to be heard. It might cause an uncomfortable disruption, but something beneficial for all could come from it. What's the harm in simply listening with an open mind? The Fire die warns what could happen if people are continually suppressed and their needs and ideas ignored. People will eventually take a stand in a more aggressive way. As Parker Palmer said, "Violence is what happens when we don’t know what else to do with our suffering."

Brady Tarot for me, thanks VG

I sometimes draw cards to help me choose among the books I want to read 🙂

Today, it is between two Stephen King novels I haven’t read before:

Desperation and The Talisman (w/Peter Straub). Any King fans here? 😁

Usually trumps win when I play this game, but that Knight of Cups is so appealing! Such a romantic seeker, who seems to reflect the kid protagonist of The Talisman quite well.

So yeah. Leaning toward The Talisman. Oops!

massive king fan here. I've read Desperation twice, Talisman at least 10 times.

Thank you, @Bodhiseed!!

WHOA! Not only impressive, @AJ-ish/Sharyn, but that’s some high praise for both titles (The Talisman in particular)!

What is your favorite SK novel? So far, mine is probably Revival, though Carrie was my first and I am really fond of that one too.

Hi Everyone ♥

This week I am using the NA Oracle cards with artwork by Laura Tuan.

Some of the images and descriptions are quite a bit stereotypical, some even incorrect, others are downright beautiful, so it is a bit of a mixed bag, which is, why I am not using this deck often.....

@Mi-Shell, the artwork is lovely, but it's a shame that there isn't a NA deck made by a native person.

Of these two, I read Desperation first, then read the Regulators, then reread Desperation. I'm not sure where his (Bachman) head was then, but the books use pretty much the same characters, only in different ways. I didn't keep them, but I'm certainly not sorry I read them.

I have probably read and listened to The Dark Tower at least a dozen times over the years. Such a hell of a journey. Not a huge fan of the last book, but yet...there IS hope there, once I got over my snit.

One that goes in that series but not is Wind Through The Keyhole. It can stand alone, Roland and his ka-tet aren't the key characters. But everything in King's world is interconnected some way. Love that book!

The Talisman would probably be second favorite after DT, I've read Black House twice, and not sorry I did because it is a follow on from Talisman but it is so Damn dark.

I sold my entire 1st edition collection in a lot about 3 years ago, just about killed me, but my eye disease is what it is and once I got over myself and embraced the kindle app, well, the guy who bought them was over the moon, and it freed up three bookshelves 🙂

I could talk King for days. And he hates Mr. Trump which has cred with me... I am also mad about some of his short stories, well many of them. Night Shift, the Mangler, Apt Pupil...

I have been working with the Wild Unknown for the last week.

I’ve wondered about indigenous North American divination deck creators… I should check out the thread we have here and see if any creators listed there are indigenous at all…

@AJ-ish/Sharyn, your King enthusiasm is EPIC! I am so happy for that fellow who purchased your collection. I think it was a good thing, what you did. Thank you for sharing 😁

@toj, I love the Wild Unknown. I hope it has been treating you well 🙂

@vulprix!

There are not many.

Jamie Sams" Medicine Cards and Wa Na Ne Che's cards are  accepted by NA people as not being bogged down in atrociously wrong white stereotypes and false claims.
