My new mantra is "Just because I like it doesn't mean I need it." 😂 This group is enabling without even trying. @Rachelcat, does the Playing Card Tarot have its own meaning for the cards, or are they pretty standard tarot meanings?

I need to downsize on decks a bit, but I can safely say that I have a love for almost all of those that I have. 🙂 I admire your mantra, lol!

The trumps look like pretty standard meanings. It points out the minimalist symbols on the cards. Example: 6: Lovers - harmony, trust, emotional bond, duality Symbolism: serpent, apple, flower The pips look like they could be combining some cartomancy meanings in there. Example: Fives: control, adaptation, curiosity Diamonds - a change for the better, improvement Face cards look pretty standard, but I'm not sure where this one came from! Queens: nurturers, feminine personalities Diamonds - sophisticated, flirtatious, gossipy, outgoing Let me know if there is a specific card meaning you want to see!

My deck pet peeve is when there is a lack of body (and age) diversity, which this deck falls into. I love it when there are "lived in" bodies, and/or body types other than the Maiden depicted in decks. This one is very heavy on the Maiden, with all of them very skinny and young. This overemphasis of the Maiden archetype always feels misogynistic to me, or like an attempt of erasure of the actual lived bodily experience of women and femmes. I get that this deck is playing with a specific ethereal vibe and am looking forward to playing and spending some time with it. I bought this back when it first came out and don't think I would buy it today. Did not get the Tarot version of it. I like that it has little phrases on the cards instead of key words..

I've been busy this week, as I purchased a cabinet for my decks pre-owned at a great price. ( These are personal and working decks. My packs for clients are stored elsewhere).
