Deck of The Week: Sign-up Thread: Week 245 : March 19 - March 25

For my three card spread this morning, I got all pips. I had a rough idea of what the reading meant for me, but to have fun with all the extras that came with this deck, I drew from the 10 card oracle that came with it. I drew Naughty Demons, which shows some

demons asking for atonement from Justice. This gave me an opportunity to draw from the Beast deck expansion for this deck, which is based on 19th century animal decks - and drew the Harlequin, who is a fun loving, slightly maniacal, carefree personality. Am I any clearer on the reading? Maybe not, but I had fun 😆.

Showing up a little late for this thread but I'd like to join in with the Bohemian Gothic again. I didn't get to use it much last week aside from keeping it next to me at my desk so I'm giving it another go this week. Hopefully I'll do a little spread so you can see it in action @Wyrdkiss - it really is a wonderful deck. There's plans of another edition in the future, which I'm very interested in myself (I have the 2nd edition pewter edge) but I think it's still some years away from happening.

@sweeneyish From the extra cards you pulled I imagine a story where the demons will go straight back to causing trouble after receiving their atonement 😆

That is hilarious (and now I see it too!)

Ha! I love this, and I totally see it too. That’s the best. In general, I actually feel like the demons are kind of the protagonists in that card - There’s something very innocent and childish about them. Which goes well with your reading!

I think I’ll have to keep an eye out for whether the Bohemian Gothic ever becomes available again - It’s clearly a favourite of many here!

My spread today - quite a happy one, I must say.

My son also asked for me to do his reading for the day this morning:

For my reading today, I played with integrating the Secret Oracle, and they went together really well (perhaps unsurprisingly, since they are both from the same creator):

I have a difficult relationship with a co-worker, and have been thinking about reaching out them to try to build a better relationship with them. This spread seemed to be about that - The 6 of Coins came to me as generosity - generosity with my time and feelings, and this was clarified by the Arrow, which I took as an indication to send my co-worker a message to get the conversation started.

The Sun in this deck shows a Demon and Cherub, perhaps on the verge of causing each other serious harm, but brought to a strange friendship by the warmth and joy of the sun. The Wish card shows that this is the preferred outcome, but I may be wishing for the impossible. Time will tell!

Finally, the Page of Coins - They are chasing their dreams, but if they’re not careful they won’t notice the dangerous river they’re about to step into. In other words, I can give this a try, but I need to be wary of the pitfalls this person represents.

Clarified by the Wheel, it would seem that despite the danger, progress will be made by attempting to build this bridge.

@sweeneyish I know I've been quiet (immensely fast-paced week) as of late, but I wanted to chime in that I truly appreciate your posts. I'm enjoying getting caught up, and everyone here is demonstrating wonderful effort keeping us informed, entertained and (tarot) enabled!  Thank you all.

@sweeneyish, the blue color is trippy (I like it!) and I love the simplicity of that oracle.

Thanks @Wyrdkiss, I really appreciate it! It is reassuring to know my posts are helpful

and not annoying 😆.

It is trippy, eh @Bodhiseed? The oracle is fantastic - I have found it reads amazingly on its own, and also acts as a really good clarifier.

Did a little reading today, the two-card cross from Little Red Tarot. Situation: Page of Pentacles crossed by Challenge: Eight of Wands. I see the industrious page as myself reading to go deal with practical matters and the stone beasts as my overwhelming amounts of creative ideas I have to manage. I always have too many of them and sometime nothing gets done at all, but I feel like I've been keeping a good balance this week and so far today. Or alternatively, it's very windy out today and I hope I will not be too cold on my afternoon walk!

Apologies for the long images, I will resize them next time 😬

Finished a reading on my lunch break, a good tidings encouragement to take a step I've been contemplating. The keeper of Boons ( king of  discs) represents here Loving, calm and lustful wise energy.that card is from the Enchanted Forest deck, my selection this week.

@WyrdkissYour delight and experience with this deck has sold me - I ordered a copy today. It had been on my wish list for awhile, and since we clearly have similar tastes in Tarot and it spoke to you so deeply, I was an easy sell. Thanks for sharing!

Hi there. Cool deck and reading. Seems an odd name for it based on appearance, and I cannot locate where to view more images online. Can you share link where you purchased this Little Red Tarot please?

Sorry for the confusion: the deck is the Bohemian Gothic Tarot and the spread I used is from Little Red Tarot, an indie deck shop located in the UK. They used to run a blog which is no longer updated, but the archives are over here if anyone is interested: http://blog.littleredtarot.com/

My spread is from here: https://littleredtarot.com/short-two-card-tarot-spread/

My last draw with the Black Tarot. Question was asked about what to expect on a really busy and odd workday.

That makes much more sense -- no worries and thank you!

@toj what did you make of your reading? How do you feel about the deck?

@sweeneyish I'm glad you found inspiration to order it. Perhaps you can cover your initial impressions in a future Deck of the Week.

@Wyrdkiss that was a fairly accurate reading for my day. Haven’t done too many readings with it for the time that I have had the cards but I like it

@Amberjune, I'm curious about the Obsidian Oracle, particularly the 'double' cards (snake/lemongrass, mushroom/acorn, hawk, green fluorite, etc.).

I'm not usually drawn to minimalist decks, but this one is really interesting and I like the combos, like hummingbird and fog. Very imaginative and playful.
