RunningWild Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 My notification of package shipped arrived today! Something like 28 days to get to me from day of shipping.
Niobium Posted October 20, 2022 Author Posted October 20, 2022 Shipping info received~ Been awaiting this deck since I saw the Coming Soon card in my copy of Dark Mansion.
Wyrdkiss Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 I love the back image and colors. The cards have an odd texture that will take a bit of getting used to, and breaking in. I was worried after not liking the Mansions deck this company released I would feel the same about this one. I'm pleased to say I love it, however, and have already dived into readings. I hope all of yours arrive soon.

RunningWild Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Mine arrived today. The cardstock is the same as the Dark Mansion tarot. Interesting artwork and very much RWS. There was no accompanying pamphlet explaining the "slavic legends" part of it

gregory Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Mine arrived yesterday. LOVE it. Especially the box

RunningWild Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 So has anyone used their new deck yet? I have. Easy to shuffle. Easy to read. I've shown it to a few people who've remarked on the texture of the cards and how beautiful the coloring is.
Niobium Posted November 10, 2022 Author Posted November 10, 2022 I just got mine the other day. <runs around in circles> Absolutely gorgeous. I do wish there'd been a way to get the extra cards in the regular edition, because I have no use for a huge bulky box, but c'est la vie. Not had a chance to do more than a flipthrough and card census. Maybe this weekend!
Wyrdkiss Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 Yes, it's a pleasure to work with. This company's style is a very matte, rather muted art in comparison to some decks. I love it, however, and it is going not only in my "keeper" cabinet, but in my reading rotation as well.
gregory Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 Maybe when it's all over they will sell the extra cards separately ?
RunningWild Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 I hadn't heard of any extra cards. I'm more of an accidental collector versus an intentional one so I don't have that completionist bug. It has 78 beautiful cards fully usable for anyone already familiar with RWS so it seems complete to me with the minor exception of some explanation for some of the images. But hey, that's the fun of a new deck, isn't it? Searching for meanings of the images.
Niobium Posted November 12, 2022 Author Posted November 12, 2022 They made two versions of the Moon and the Devil; you get both if you order the fancy wood box version, but as a result you don't get the regular box, the deck is in a pouch instead. *grump* Debating if I'll buy the Standard for the box.
Rodney Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 All four of the decks I ordered from them arrived yesterday. While they are all generally Rider Waite, each of them could stand to have a booklet with them. Slavic Legends could even just have a list of what gods, legends and cultural aspects are included on which card. The artwork is quite beautiful though!

Why would you? wouldn't you want to keep it in something else anyway?
