I have had a severe cold for the last few days, ugh. (Not COVID don't worry, did an at home test.) I've been pulling my daily cards but haven't been posting my readings. I may do them later today to catch up.

One of those moments today where Tarot gives my skeptical brain a little slap: I'd drawn VII, Prydwen, and Grail Five last night and thought 'interesting' and put them aside to think about later. Well thismorning I forgot, shuffled the deck, and pulled.... Grail Five from the middle of the deck. Ok, I'm listening. I fished VII from the deck too.

These two together are super interesting. The five card blurb reads: "Lancelot learned that he couldn't achieve the grail. But his son Galahad sailed on the ship of Solomon to achieve it". And asks the question: "What are you sorry for?" I think it's the ship of Solomon represented here, though we see no figures. The sail is unfurled but not full and the boat is cutting gently through the water.

The VII, Chariot, I initially thought has a lot of Tower energy, but these hardy sailors are weathering the storm. The card depicts Arthur's ship Prydwen almost dashed on the rocks. 'Where are you going?' the card asks, 'What are the limits, and where does self-control come in?'

I'm reminded of the Greek stories of Scylla and Charybdis, and of the tempting Sirens.

Adventures often go awry. Even with your heart set on the greatest good, there are poor choices, losses, and hardship, but "keep the bright song in your hearts".  Hanging on to regret keeps you stranded on the shore. "What is broken must be mourned. But I sail on to heal the mistakes that have been made."

Has anyone heard from @VGimlet?  Hoping all is well and that she's just having a busy week.❤️

@euripides, I've enjoyed your comparison of the two Arthurian decks this week!

I did a deep study of the Druid Animal Oracle many years ago.  They're such beautiful illustrations!  And the others, too, of course!  I'll enjoy seeing your readings!

I did too! Only because I'd decided to learn tarot and I ordered a used Druidcraft Animal oracle off ebay for 5 bucks 🙂  I studied that so hard all summer that year. Then I finally realized oracles and tarots are two different things.  When I got it out last week I just hugged it to my chest. Good memories.

I did the same thing with the Medicine Cards. 😊
