Hello,

New to tarot. Been reading about it for a long time. my husband bought me my first deck as gift!

All I want is help interpreting, but am not allowed to post on forum yet... Maybe you guys can help? 🙂

Edit by mod as it does not apply to our rules with regards to 5 posts and own interpretation: I shuffled the deck while contemplating my question: Will I have a baby girl? I drew 3 card intending it to be for situation-action-outcome. I drew the Page of cups, the 10 of cups and the 9 of cups.. I thinking this means signs are good for my gender sway- what do you guys think?? Thank you! 😄

Hello @randomchika27welcome to the TT&M Family. :animated-smileys-signs-085: Right according to our rules you need to have 5 posts before you can post in the Sub-Forum 'Personal Readings'. Until then nobody will be allowed to help you. It is fairly easy to get 5 posts. Please read through our rules. I will cross out your question regarding the reading. Once you reached the 5 posts just open an new thread within Personal Readings. And an other of our rules is: You will have to interpret your cards first. You can look up meanings online or in your booklet that comes with the deck but you have to interpret first.

🙂

And finally, I am curious why that 5 posts rule exists? It is very difficult to find forums to help with beginning tarot readers, and I personally feel the 5 post rule intentionally alienates people who are curious and just want to better themselves.. ?

Because of spammers who come here and try to get free readings. Most people will give up when they see they have to put in the effort to post. This is a learning forum; we post our own interpretations and others help us untangle them. There are plenty of websites that do free readings. Welcome to the forum - now I'll go and look at your other thread.

Welcome to the forum @randomchika27 yep we want to build a nice discussion community, so we have a strict structure and rules to make it run smoothly for everyone 🙂 :animated-smileys-signs-085::78496:

You made it, you got your 5 posts which was not very hard in the end, was it? And no we do not want to alienate anyone. What we do like is to have an engaging community. Discussions about cards, spreads, reading etc. Behind each one of us is a real person, with a real life. Any help you are getting here is volunteerly and freely given. That means it might also be possible you are not getting any reply because everyone is busy with their own life.

Hope to see you around actively engaging and learning to read cards. 🙂

Welcome! But please, next time, don't post replies like that to get your posts, it is spammy and exactly one of the reasons for the rule.
