What do you think of this deck? Should I buy it?

If you aren't going to open it, then don't buy it. That would be a waste, I agree. ALL mine have been opened and many of them, even the rarest ones, have been used for reading at least once. Tarot as an investment is a non starter unless you are looking at seriously limited and rare decks. LoS mass market ones aren't going to cut it. As for pirated ones - I have a few (I just bought one by accident, as I searched for it EVERYWHERE to verify it, failed - I couldn't even find the artist's name ! - so assumed it must be genuine, and only found out it was a knock-off in some reviews after I had received it.) I wouldn't buy one knowingly; it takes income from the original artist.

You are right on everything . I feel bad after buying Meta Barons ,because if it is original I will never use it ,but I love the art , Jodorovsky ,everything about it ,so it will have a nice home here ,because I have big three of Tarot names I absolutely love First i of course Maestro Pitisci ,but second and third is  a tie between Jodorovsky and Ben Dov Yoav. If it will turn out to be a fake I will be sad ,but will use it .Even this situation isn`t perfect and I will be sad in both cases ,but there is a upside in both cases ,also having Keymaster Tarot (main deck of my purchase)intrigues me is it considered Marseille deck ?

In that case I am pure evil. Thanks for that.

There is NOTHING wrong with collecting; it supports artists and the production of decks, and every card is an artwork in itself., with something of interest. I only own one deck with literally no redeeming merit.

Agreed, everybody needs a hobby.

Can anyone share their experiences with/impressions of the Ancestral Path Tarot by Julie Cuccia-Watts? Someone here is selling a copy of the set for a fairly decent price, and I got curious… should I give it a chance?

Thanks!

Yes, give the deck a chance!

I have 2 of them, actually!  I bought the first deck for my son when he was 13.  Each suit is a different culture.  It is easy to read.  My son loved his deck so much that I bought a new one for myself because I didn't want to use his.  You've probably come across this page, but I'll link it anyway.  Here are some reviews from Aeclectic.

I have mixed feelings about that deck. I used to own it but have since sold it. The reason why I purchased it in the first place is because I wanted to use it for ancestral work, but I feel that the selection of four main ‘races’ or cultures for the suits does not sit  right with me. I also feel that they went with races that they found to be exotic and mystical.

I actually don't like it at all - it comes over to me as twee.

I had to Google ‘twee’, it’s the first time I’ve ever heard that expression! 😁

If you'r elucky you haven't come across anything that needed its use....

Thank you for all the honest opinions, I think I’ll pass this one to prioritise other decks I’m more sure about!
