Welp, good things really do come to those who waite.

Hmmmm…. I think I would really like to have the deck. But I got really pissed off with Baba when some months ago or so they had some spare Bohemian Gothic decks lying around which they put on sale for the same price that people sell the deck on eBay for, just because they could because they knew people would pay three times the original price. For this new release they announced the pricing would be comparable to their other decks, but we will see.

I think it’s a fairly small batch they print as well, they decided to release the presale split over two different time points to allow people in different time zones to get a deck - if they expect that many buyers, why not print a bigger batch?

This, so much. I have all the editions thus far - not adding another, myself. But for those who have none, it seems hard....

Yup, that stunt left a rather bad taste in the mouth @Rupicapra.

Back then, I thought that if people still swooped on their stash at that price, they'd definitely be releasing it again because they know they can rely on the demand. Glad to know my speculation proved correct.

Don't like what they did because it seems a tad unsporting, but since the Gothic is all I desire from their catalog anyways, I shan't feel bad for not passing it up. I do hope that they eventually opt for a more sizeable print run.

It is a really good deck .... I have the silver and original regular edition so I will pass on getting another edition of it, but if I had none I would be all over this.

Ah, you’re stirring the FOMO-pot 😆

I’ll see what happens in the next two weeks and how I feel then 😁

Just FYI I wrote a deck review of the deck here on TT&M, it is not a first impressions type review I only write the reviews after working with the decks so it might give you a feel of the deck experience and the guide book 😜

Where are the deck reviews located? I'd like to give yours a read.

No worries, I found it. Right in front of my eyes!

I am keen on getting this deck again. I sold an unboxed copy years ago and regretted it. Will read your review now.

I saw some collector sell the first edition of Bohemian Gothic in India for about 20 times of the cost the current edition was trading at 2-3 years ago! I was speechless!!

20 times? That is crazy!

I found a bit more info re the presale: from what I understand, only the extra-large edition will be a limited number run. The normal size edition will have more, depending on how many people preorder. So it sounds as it t should be easy for people to get a standard deck as long as they preorder. No info re pricing yet apart from a comment that everything has gone up in price. Early preorder with delivery not before October.

Thank you for the information, @Rupicapra !

Are there any images with the cold-stamping? How does this look?

Yes this one regularly goes for OBSCENE amounts. I'm undecided; I really would have rather they did Tarot of Prague.

Just pre-ordered mine, I am stoked to get this.  I don't love every card, not sure how well I'll read with it, but some of them ... just stunning. Simply stunning.

apologies for reviving this ancient thread if we're not supposed to, I haven't visited the forum in ages so I'm not sure of the forum customs anymore, but I wanted to drop by and be excited about the BG! I do have a pewter 2nd edition which I adore, but it is my special treasure and so I'll be happy to own a different version of the deck sometime in October/November, with the accompanying guidebook.

It's fine to post in old threads and bring them back to life @Page of Ghosts. We welcome thread necromancy here! Nice to see you around the community again 😀

thanks! I thought I remembered it that way. my tarot practice is as always very on and off, but I'm always glad to stop by occasionally and see familiar names here 😊 I never thought the BG would get a reprint as soon as it is, I imagined it would take another year or two. although I'm not in a very dedicated reading period right now it's been one of my unicorn decks ever since I first got into tarot more than 10 years ago, so I placed my order now that I have the opportunity to do it

I thought I was over this beauty, but I chanced upon a high-def video review of the Limited Edition, and then and there I decided that yes, daddy is indeed gonna get it. I was just lucky a local collector decided to sell hers since it's too large for her, opting to keep the normal-sized edition instead. Will be able to get my hands all over it any day now.

When it rains, it pours. Ironing out another deal which is testing my sangfroid lol. Haven't been this excited in quite a while.
