Rainbow Tarot Cards, or also called the Shimiltei tarot

Well you have totally enabled me here.  Also glad I persevered in my search and added 'Shimiltei' as there were many 'rainbow' tarot decks out there.  This is an outstandingly beautiful deck and I must have it.  Thanks and enjoy the beauty.  Exquisite.

I’m so excited, my self made Oracle deck just arrived from the printer 🥰 This one is based on the symbolism of the Russian pasyans system, and I used antique illustrations for all the cards. I went with a mini size so I can do large spreads. Can’t wait to start reading with it 🤩

It's turned out so well! The vintage illustrations really work with the border you picked 😁 hope you don't mind sharing a reading with them? When you're ready to of course 😊

I absolutely will! I just have to think of a suitable topic first ! 😀

Those extra cards I printed with keywords on them, well the text is readable! Phew! So that’s a relief. I didn’t know if the mini size would make it impossible to see 😆 (though a person with poor eyesight would probably need a magnifying glass 😄)

I've ordered mine now after seeing yours, I was holding off printing it as the plan was to do a few decks but after seeing yours I couldn't resist 😁

Glad the keyword cards worked out! It's going to be handy to have it as a reference without needing to squint too hard 😂

I hope you’ll like it! I think it turned out even better than I had hoped. Now I just need to see how it reads! We will have to do some practice readings later and see how those keywords work out and what type of spreads that will fit!

Thank you! I borrowed the border from an antique deck that I recreated previously, it worked wonderful with those old illustrations!

I'm sure I'll love it, it's paysans symbols in a deck! What's not to love 😁

Postage says 10 days 🤞 and I'm down for practice readings when it arrives, I'm dying to try out a GT with it 🤪

Only been sporadically present in the forums this year so I've missed out on this thread. Posting this beauty now:

That's the Navigators Tarot of the Mystic Sea BTW.

I was also able to complete Taschen's Library of Esoteric quartet:

These books are visually STUNNING. I've also heard that they're going to release a fifth volume early next year, this time on Sacred Sites. Can't wait for it!

@Akhilleus, what a gorgeous deck! And the books ARE stunning, I am off to read about them.

Awww.  I just succumbed and treated myself to an oracle deck I've had my eye on for a long time. AND I bought it directly from the artist.  It's the Majick Cottage oracle deck by Jacqui Lovesey (from Shrewsbury.)  It won't arrive for a week or two, due to the holiday break ...but I am so looking forward to getting it.  I normally don't go for 'cute' oracles and tarot decks, but there is something special about this one.  I look at the cards on YouTube, etc, and get an instant feel for what each of them means.  I doubt I'll need the book ...but it will be fun reading it anyway.

OMG, yes, I need to order it before it becomes hard to find. And maybe the other three, too.

I love that deck! Her guidebooks are an interesting read since it shows you the intricate universe behind her characters, but you can totally interpret the cards intuitively !

@Chariot, what a lovely deck! It emanates coziness, I would love to just live in that cottage. Congratulations!

I'm starting to think I 'need' the Arboridium deck as well ...but I'll wait.  You know how a particular artist's work can offer instant appeal?  Well the output of this duo certainly does.  They are not simplistic pictures, yet they evoke an instant response in me.  I think I'm attracted to the cosy atmosphere they depict ...being a Cancer/Taurus, I love being secure at 'home' and these cards ooze that feeling.  Maybe not healthy for me, but sometimes I just don't want to face the Big Bad World Out There.  I'm sure this/these decks will get a lot of use when I'm feeling downish.

You are not alone. I almost stopped reading news and when I am down I escape to my chicken house. I would like some deck as cozy as that chicken house - warm, with dimmed light, soft hay and pine wood shavings everywhere, and canopied beds (their nests, they are covered from light).

By the way, @akiva mentioned squinting and I remembered I wanted to ask all of you, can you please recommend some reading magnifiers? I don't wear glasses and currently I feel no energy to go to an optician and suffer through all those boring procedures with eyesight checking and buying glasses. I have some books where the font would have been somewhat small for me even in my twenties; now I feel I can't read them at all, I start and give up very soon because this tiny font is so tiring (also the paper is gray so there's not enough contrast). I wanted to ask if un-lighted acrylic bars like this one were any good? And sorry about Amazon, as I am from far away this is my main choice now for logistical reasons, I will gladly get rid of it when I can, but right now I can't.

I have all her decks except the playing-cards one, and she is the only creator where I have collected all the decks. Since I like a minimal collection, this is telling. I really enjoy the Secret of Wand also, which is interesting since it was the one that I was a little unsure about when I purchased it. Her white hare wisdom used to be a real favorite but since I have gotten the others, it is now the one I reach for the least. It is still a deck I like, I just happen to currently like the other ones even more! 😍

I have not pledged for her latest deck that is due for early this year, and I am not sure I will. It has nothing to do with not loving it, I am sure I would absolutely adore it. I have just had some really poor experiences with customs lately. (Etsy adds tax to the total cost but none of the correct documents are added to the shipping, so our customs have no proof that tax has been paid, that is why they will add even more tax - and this time they base it on the total price that already includes the tax. Plus they take a fee for calculating this double tax. It has given me such a headache and there is no way to get them to do it differently because the rules are the rules and the seller should have added the correct documents so that customs can verify that tax has been paid. Jackie has been wonderful about this, she has reimbursed all these extra costs for me, but this means that she has had to pay out of her own pocket for something that is really Etsys fault. If they insist on charging tax then they need to make sure their sellers have all the right documents and know exactly how to communicate this to customs. Oh well, it is what it is. Maybe they will fix it in the future. Rant over!)

I know what you mean about the chicken house. As a kid we had two chicken houses - one indoor and fully insulated, and one fenced outdoor coup that we could move around the property so they could graze on fresh ground but still be protected when we weren't home (when we were home they could run around freely outside). I used to go in and sit with the hens and enjoy their company. It was really relaxing, like a world of its own.

I hope someone will be able to recommend some reading magnifiers for you!

If you have a friend in the UK who would be willing to do this, you could have the friend buy the deck for you (obviously you would reimburse them) and post it on to you as a gift.  I'm not sure exactly how much the 'gift' can be worth, to pass through customs, but I think it's around the £30 mark at the moment.  I've been living in the UK for nearly 40 years, and this approach does work.  The seller would get into bother if they tried to post it to you as a gift, but a friend is allowed to send you a gift.  🙂

Is this solely for reading? If so, you don't need to go to the opticians, you can buy reading glasses from many different shops... Quite cheaply too compared to prescription glasses. They come in different strengths (they are basically just magnifying things for you to be able to read). Are you in the UK? My partner said he got his from a random chemist shop here 😊

Goodness, this European VAT is a pain for Etsy sellers. I have an Etsy shop (vintage textiles) and when this was introduced it caused severe disruptions. At some point I stopped selling to Europe because the losses incurred were too high (people kept complaining about being charged twice, etc). However, I thought that this was now largely settled, procedures worked out and customs officers fully trained? When I have a sale to a country for which Etsy charges (and then transfers to the revenue authorities) the VAT, I have an IOSS number assigned to that item automatically and a message on my control panel: "You must share Etsy's IOSS number, IM37*******24, with your courier for this order (use it only for this purpose). This helps ensure that your buyer won't be charged VAT twice. Make sure to write the value of this order in euros, €*****, on your package, too". So we put this number on the package, and we haven't had any complaints from the customers this whole year, thank goodness! On the other hand, I tried opening a Shopify store and had to give it up, exactly because they don't charge VAT and they leave this to me, and it is extremely difficult and almost impossible to do (have to buy and install special plug-ins for that), and if I don't charge and transfer those VAT I can't sell to Europe at all... gosh...

So yes, the easiest way must be if a friend buys a deck and sends it as a gift.
