Ah - that's mad Euro tracking - they can't tell you where it is until it's in your country, or something.

I haven't heard a thing about mine :classic_sad:

When others in the US had been posting receipt of theirs weeks ago, I sent her an email asking about it. Mine was hand wrapped in a makeshift cardboard box reshaped to fit the bubble wrapped box exactly. Not sure if she is doing this on all or just the ones going across seas, but it does seem as though there is some time-consuming attention given to each package before it even hits the post.

I hope you receive yours soon.

Got a rather delightful response:

Don't worry, it will come to you! the criteria I use for shipments are quite "random". I have not privileged those who have put more money, or those who are closest. In the same way that I haven't even assembled all the packs with the same order of cards. I have not written the same dedications, nor have I made two identical gifts. I've even sent random gifts out there to people who didn't pay that reward. I like to do it that way because I think magic always has a bit of chaos. Each box is very important to me. So that they do not get lost, I have chosen to pay up to triple what I put as shipping cost, because I know that I have taken a long time, and I would die of frustration if a package is lost. I am packing each box with my own hands, as always, I thought it would be faster and easier! until the end I am paying the novitiate for the first time. A hug and soon you will have it in your hands!

I missed this thread somehow. I received my Murder of Crows deck last week. But I received my Millenium Thoth deck today! It was a deck on my list for a long time and I am surprised I held off this long.

Ooh, I can participate in this thread this week! I'm expecting Barbara Moore's Tarot for Beginners, a new copy of Tarot for Your Self by Greer, Tarot Elements by Cynova, the Pastoral Tarot, The Book of Shadows tarot set, and Tarot of Oppositions (particularly intrigued by those last two, since I don't have anything like either of them).

It was a very splurgy couple of weeks and now I have to behave, lol.

LOL you are going to be quite busy! The Book of Shadows set is its own system in a way, that alone can keep you busy for months hehe

I'll second that!  Just got the Book of Shadows set a couple of weeks ago. It is impressive.  But you will have to put SOME of what you already know aside, and take the decks (especially the As Above deck) as a unique system.  It's beautifully presented, and the book is excellent.  (Thanks @Mikhalia for recommending it to me.  🙂 )

I also just ordered Poppy Palin's The Everyday Enchantment Tarot.  Wasn't expecting to be captivated by a deck, so was just browsing Amazon.  But this one grabbed me, and I did a quick search for it on YouTube.  I didn't look at all the cards, but the ones I did see will be really useful.  Nothing too 'out there' in terms of symbolism, but everyday people and situations that make a lot of sense in the context of the RWS system.

I was particularly taken with The Moon ...as a bag lady!  She's facing us, and we can see her bag is full of quite a lot of interesting stuff, but the people behind her, all laughing at her, can't see what she's actually got.  For me, that's the Moon card to a T - the Moon means you aren't seeing what's really there, because it is hidden from you.  A different perspective or more light, and you'll know what you're dealing with.

I'm very much looking forward to getting this deck.  Me, who doesn't collect decks ...just bought two new sets!  But if they are useful, well worth it.  If I end up not using them, I'll get rid of them.

After a long "diet" on tarot decks I've got the Ritual tarot. The accompanying book is very good too (as it explain the symbolism of the cards). Oh and the Book of Shadow (wich I directed to be send to Spain - I am going there soon -as it the seller was not shipping in my country).

I'm still waiting for 8-10 decks (mostly KS) but it'll take some time.

Oh, I know it! I'm pretty intimidated, lol! But I'm wanting to do some shadow work and thought it might be an interesting format for that (as well at the Tarot of Oppositions). We'll see how it goes, I suppose!

Thanks for giving me the heads up on how to utilize those decks! I'm very interested to see how they work for me.

Finally received my Golden Tarot of the Tsar. I've always been looking for a Christian deck that adequately covers both scripture and hagiography. I might have just found my Holy Grail.

Just received my The Everyday Enchantment Tarot by Poppy Palin.  Dang.  The deck is interesting, but the cards are massive ...4 inches by 5.5 inches.  I'll need another leaf on my dining room table if I want to do a Celtic Cross spread!

Just joking ...but it's not far off.

The cards are interesting with tableaus that portray a modern, everyday scene or character on all the cards, major and minor.  I'm looking forward to trying it.  However, the designs are VERY busy ...each one has the central scene, which is great ...but it's cluttered up with flowers, pixies, birds, animals, etc, that are more or less just floating around.  I believe she's included these because they have meaning for her, but they're a little bit distracting.  However, the conception for each card's scene is quite intriguing and very adaptable to the RWS system it's based on, so I'm looking forward to giving it a go.

If I keep the deck, I will probably modify it.  I can knock a quarter inch off each of the sides plus the top, as it's got a heavy black border.  But I'll need to leave the bottom intact, as that's where the card's designation is printed.

I'm away to give it a go.  Here is the 4 of Blades (Swords), The Magician, The King of Cups, and the 9 of Coins:

Sarah Howard moved in with me, I'm in love. ❤️

I really love The Wyrd of Sarah Howard Oracle, just wonderful (is someone using this one and would like exchange ideas?).

And... I didn't buy it but was gifted with a real treasure, Tarocco del Carnivale di Venezia by Folchi. It's so beautiful (thanks to my friend). ❤️

Today, I received The Shining Tribe Tarot (Renewed and Expanded).  This should be fun.

The Everyday Witch tarot arrived yesterday. Later this week will be the Wildwood Tarot and the Transparent Oracle. Can't wait 🙂

Someone used the Everyday Witch in a reading exchange and I really liked the look of it. And one of my friends has the Wildwood. I got the Transparent Tarot earlier this year and the Oracle should be a good pairing with it.

Yesterday, the Serpent and Peacock Tarot arrived, and some days ago, the Förhäxa. They're my birthday presents to myself, and that's not all. The Mythologia Fennica was my pre-birthday self present and I was over the moon when it arrived after a loong wait, and soon, two more tarot decks (Pastoral and Guardans of the Night) will arrive, and two oracle decks (Woodland Wardens and Seed and Sickle). I want to get a bit into oracle reading, and these two look wonderful.

That's a LOT for my birthday, but I'm a Taurus after all and love hoarding a treasure 🙂

New decks again!

My Tarot Minchiate al Leone Di Girolamo finally arrived yesterday! The cards have a wonderful satin finish and it's a wonderful version of the Minchiate al Leone. The book has some of the best interpretations of the Majors I've seen, comparable to Brian Williams' book. I look forward to diving deeper into it when I have more time! You can see more about the deck here: http://tarotminchiate.com/

Is the book in English?

All my birthday decks have arrived, and I think I splurged this time! I had to give Bood Depository a last good order, I loved that place so much and bought lots of decks there.

So this was my birthday haul:

Mythologia Fennica and Förhäxa

Serpent and Peacock and Seed & Sickle

Guardians of the Night and Woodland Wardens

Pastoral Tarot

Very interesting: the Guardians of the Night Fool and the Pastoral Devil have a lot in common. I can't wait to deep-dive into my new decks.
