Yola Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 With the advent of social media, this question becomes more and more frequent. What cards do you associate with someone who pays attention to publications, to the consultant's profile? look, I'm not talking about someone who is necessarily a stalker. Although stalking can be included in this spectrum, I also ask about those people who follow, accompanies someone silently, whether it is frequent or not. For example: when the consultant wants to know if that crush from the gym or work has already searched for him on social networks. In the RWS deck, I usually consider: - Judgment: When something is discovered, it becomes visible. - Sun: visibility, notoriety, prominence, evidence. - 3 of Wands: Someone who observes from a distance. - 7 of Cups: Someone who is completely involved in what sees (and is delighted). - Page of Swords: The famous stalker card. - Ace of Wands: The "thumbs up" card. And finally: - Moon (not always, just as a complementary card to another that shows strong indications of observation): Although I know that the moon can indicate hidden behaviors (which could fit in this context), personally I tend to associate it with something that is not being seen (dark, no visibility). And therefore, without a follow-up card, I would consider it a negative answer. In other words: "no, this person doesn't see you on social media" - the tarot can be slippery, can't it? And you? Any different experiences to share? it will be great to expand my repertoire! Thank you very much!
Raggydoll Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 I’ve never thought about this before, but obviously the curious air cards would be more prone to this. I wouldn’t put it past the Magician - I think he does a lot of internet research, but he’d never confess to it ! 😁

I'd put the above quoted to the Hammer and do a Yes/No specifically on that. Positive cards as affirmative, negative ones as denying the case. Prevents from getting lost in guesswork. Then again, as things stand nowadays, you might actually be well-advised to polish your skillset for internet-interaction and how the cards talk it!
Guest Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 This would be the Seven of Swords for me. Because of its associations with speed, communication, and intelligence/data, I equate social media mostly with the Swords suit, although in certain instances the Cups may reflect it too. The card itself also suggests hidden intentions and concealed movement, so it is quite apropos to the situation you described. I also agree with the Page of Swords you mentioned, albeit I'll only consider it in its reversed aspect.
Yola Posted March 31, 2023 Author Posted March 31, 2023 How brilliant! I agree with you @Raggydoll @Akhilleus about the swords. Their own aerial characteristics lead them to certain patterns of behavior... and, so cool! I had never associated the magician with internet searches! could you talk more about that? Great suggestion, @Mister! I tested myself that way last night and I believe the response was pretty consistent. I got a page of cups and considered this card affirmative of the question.

Well, I see him as a mentalist; someone who uses all sorts of tricks, who likes to perform in front of a crowd and wants to appear impressive. He is an air-card too, associated with Mercury. So he has all those traits.

Eric13 Posted March 31, 2023 Posted March 31, 2023 I would think the Hermit would be looking into something over social media about someone as well. He wouldn't look as a stalker, or troll for that matter, but because he wants to learn more about the person maybe just to have leverage.
itsylehere Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 I personally see the Seven of Swords, The Magician and the Two of Wands as quite strong indicators of someone potentially stalking you on social media.
