When asking about how someone sees you, what does the Tower mean?

I can see it saying that the person sees you are someone who brings disruption in to their lives. You are completely different than what they expected. What else could it mean?

They could see a

  • catalyst for change
  • lover of chaos
  • bridezilla
  • teenager (😝)
  • someone who leaves disaster in their wake
  • an activist

Some Ideas.

The Tower is a phallus and its planet is Mars. There is a lot sexual energy here. You could be objectified here if you're not careful, (or, maybe you're lucky, depending on your perspective, I don't know the situation 😉) a FWB thang.  A  Just another view and my two cents...

I can see the tower as a phallus symbol. So the person sees the other person as someone they want to have sex with.

Interesting take ... we read this card very differently 😉

Being old, I had to look-up FWB ... but I would only take tower this way if the seeker wants "love & marriage" but the object of their question just wants FWB.

HUGE disappointment there. That love & marriage dream comes crashing down ... like a thunder-struck tower.

Or it might be a SUDDEN hit from Cupid's arrow ... that's going to change (ruin?) your whole life ... but I've never actually read it this way. Pure conjecture.

Then again ... I don't read Tower as mars. I read it as Ketu (south node). In Vedic Astrology world, Ketu doesn't have a body (it's a shadow planet) so it can't even have sex.

@Misterei What would you say as an interpretation of the tower with it's connection to ketu?

Ketu is the tail of the celestial snake. It has no head and doesn't think. The tower has its crown knocked off by the lightning. Ketu is fiery. Ketu slays your mind and your ego by suddenly smashing your whole life to bits. But it wants to help you acheive moksha (liberation).

Ketu is mystical. It gains spiritual wisdom in a flash of inspiration. It's a revolution of consciousness or it starts a revolution.

For someone on a spiritual path tower can be a very good card. It's a holy madman. Divine wisdom that transcends the mind. Karmas that hold you are burnt away.

On the material side it might be bad. Divorce, bankruptcy, nervous breakdown, accident.

Ketu acts suddenly and without warning. Even if a beneifc ketu brings you money ... you won't expect it. But that's astrology not tarot.

Essentially yes

@Misterei Based on your description, that is the perfect description of the tower card. I believe that everything magic related goes together. Different cultures have different name for the same thing. I would like to study hinduism as it is the oldest religions. Thank you.

This is a perfect description of what I had in mind.

They're having feelings they didn't expect to have for you and these are strong, for example when you fall in love and acknowledge how important is that person for you.

OK... Thanks for that.  Yet another card that I shall always see differently from now on!

@November Could those feels also be negative? Or those the presents of the tower make it sexual?

No, I think they could be negative too: for example one day you may discover how angry you actually are with someone, although you didn't expect to.

Okay, basically it is a revelation of feelings that you didn't expect.

I agree with you! In the tower I see feelings with a huge emotional charge (like lightning). Explosive and electrifying emotions.
A sudden passion, which shakes the structures. It's fiery and uncontrollable. You can barely disguise it.
It is also wrath, cholera, an explosion of anger. When you're at your limit with someone and you can't take it anymore.

How does someone see's you?
Well dignified: Person with a strong personality. People who are great thunderclaps that break paradigms and shake old structures. Transgressive and authentic. Frank, clear, direct. The person is open and expansive.

Badly dignified: Collapsed person, is falling apart. Person with a brusque, explosive, impulsive character. You never know what to expect from this person, you can never predict their next outburst. Irritated, stressed and hyperreactive. Brutal, violent and rude. Is overconfident. Proud, vain.

I hope it is useful!

If someone sees you as The Tower, then you are a game changer of some sort, for sure.

I actually just got this tonight when I asked how someone sees me.  It's a Leo guy I met online (we are gamers) and Leos do like a lot of attention and basically if the guy doesn't message me, I just let it drop and do my own thing.  The first time we talked a lot over a couple evenings, he then went a week before messaging me.  I said nothing about it, never messaged him and just conversed as usual when he did message me after that week of no talking.  We talked a couple days again at that point and now 5 days have gone by with no contact.  Tonight he messaged me and asked if we just aren't going to talk unless he messages me.  So he's a little miffed no doubt because he is expecting me to chase him and give him lots of attention most likely and I don't do that.  In fact I was over talking to other people and having fun. 😉  So after a brief convo (we were both on our way out,) I asked the Vice Versa deck how he sees me and feels towards me at this point since I was curious to know.  I got The Tower that jumped out (and The Empress showed up as well for the "how does he see me?"question, not jumping but making itself very well known.)  I think it's saying that basically he's not used to being treated like this, I am not acting like other girls do that are interested in him (we both previously confessed that we found each other very interesting and affecting) and therefore he's finding it maybe a bit of a shock and hard to take, as well as disrupting his usual way of being with women and it's all very strange and probably irksome for him.  I've apparently made an impression. lol

This means that the person is arrogant. Well, he (or she) think a lot of themselves. The problem is their bloated ego and conceit. #16 The Tower tells us about the punishment for an inflated Ego. Their overweening conceit is in direct proportion to their weakness. He (or She) will be thrown from the tower....one day.

The Tower is about naive dreams that you can be equal to God.

@SilverFox You mention Tower's association with ego above and I agree with this. Ego has so much to answer for in this world!

I would say that, depending on the interactions with you, the person probably experiences you as a constant tower moment. Impulsive or somehow explosive with each interaction.

As if they say something and it is like a lightning strike to your ego that you get upset about and rather than slowing down to take onboard something you throw them out of the interaction suddenly because of it, and then you fall out afterwards because your ego is in control. I remember reading once somewhere that the ego would kill us except it needs us to stay alive.

Perhaps your ego is vulnerable, and by that I mean perhaps things that are important to you in building your ego, are on shaky foundations.   The ego is all about strutting around and showing off, how we are seen, what we have - not who we are.  Most people in society are trained by society and consumer marketing, to judge on what these outward expressions are, not reflecting on what is really there of substance.

Look at the idiotic games ego plays - the small slights we are injured by, the exclusion of others who are different, or whom we envy without being conscious of it, or just dislike, the unforgiveness for petty wrongs that we ourselves are guilty of if we would only look, and these expand to the violent situations it produces in the world around us.

@Mayari now you have made it to 5 posts, I have moved this post into this thread. It was in the wrong place before 🙂

The Tower coupled with your description of the situation...

This guy is not accustomed to not having people seek his attention. The tower, like anything in life, could be positive or negative. He may actually like that about you.

Or it could seem interesting at first but he resents it later. Either way, you definitely made an impression on this guy. He's probably evaluating how he views other people, his perception of women, etc etc etc.

I agree with this view ...depending on context, of course.  But The Tower in most depictions, is struck by lightning and partly destroyed.

However, before the lightning hit, the people living in it probably assumed it was solid and impregnable.  So I believe this card often depicts the unexpected and sudden destruction (or partial destruction) of something you assumed was safe and secure.  I don't see The Tower as 'excitement' in a good sense, or 'enlightenment' or many of the other interpretations other people hold for this card (which is, of course, an individual reader's prerogative.)  I see it as ...not necessarily disaster ...but the destruction of something in your life you had assumed was indestructible.  As @Mayari said, the appearance of this card would make sense if you trusted somebody, or your perception of somebody—and suddenly that trust was unexpectedly destroyed.  You would feel shocked, for sure.
