Hi everyone, Bonjour!

Hi to all of you,

I just joined this site and wanted to make an introduction. Im hoping it's the correct forum tab for this as Im learning to navigate this site.

My name is Marguerite, Im very close to turning 43, my favourite tea (at present time) is raspberry pomegranate and I live with my shetland sheepdog who's 10yrs old. He is like my only Son. ❤️

The first time I've drawn tarot cards was in my teens, secretly playing with my father's Marseille deck. I honestly had no idea what I was doing but those cards fascinated me. I don't know what happened to that deck and wish I still had it. I've been an avid student of numerology for many years, some astrology I know a bit as well. I've received a RWS a few years ago and started pulling cards every now and then. I studied aside with numerology, the book "The divine triangle" by Faith Javane and Dusty Bunker has the descriptions of all 78 tarot cards and is one of my favourite books I reference all the time.

I love tarot and I've been collecting them. I'm use to reading just by using my intuitions, without consulting "the little white booklet" but recently I've been drawn to delve deeper into tarot and learning the meaning of the cards. I've picked up a couple books for beginners which have been very helpful. I just started reading Seventy-eight degrees of wisdom by Rachel Pollack, Im enjoying it very much!

I'm so pleased to join this lovely tarot & tea community and to meet you all here.🌻

No rush to comment, I know the site can be overwhelming but once you have the hang of it, all will be fine. If you have questions just ask. 🤗

Hello @Marguerite and welcome to this friendly Tarot community.

My name is Juna Berry.  I am close to turning 71.  I’m not a big tea drinker and would rather play at reading tea leaves than drinking it.  Chai is pretty good.  I have 2 poodles:  Santi and BoBo or Devil Dog and Angel Dog.  They assist me with my work.

I’ve been reading professionally for more than 20 years.  I first picked up a deck when I was 18.  I waited until I was more mature before I felt competent to get serious about things.

Primarily, I have been an intuitive reader.  Fairly recently I have embarked on some serious study working with the things that Benebell Wen puts out i.e. Holistic Tarot and the Spirit Keeper’s Tarot.

I’m passionate about Tarot. I thoroughly enjoy my studies; reading for clients; reading for myself; and teaching Tarot.

Hi Natural Mystic 🙂

I apologize for the long belated reply!

How are you enjoying the study with Benebell Wen ? I have her big book of tarot, I reference quite often. Everything is in there!

Anyways, Thank you for the warm welcome 💚

Hi tarot & tea fam,

I’d need your help with something. I’m writing my question here instead of starting a thread asking? Hoping that’s okay,

After a long hiatus I am back and hoping to stay around for a while 🙂

I’d like to upload pictures but Im not sure how to do ?

Yesterday, I tried to add a pic of the Rolla Nordic tarot in the deck library tab but it didn’t seem to work. Maybe my pic is under review since it’s my first time ?

Many thanks in advance for your advice,

@Marguerite I saw your deck upload behind the scenes here. The Deck Library isn't instant and when it's next sorted and categorised, it will go live. It's not lost but in a queue 🙂

I think you wanted to add your deck to it? You can also upload pictures to a thread, to do this you just pick the choose files below the text entry box, you can also drag a file onto it to upload. So you can add pictures to posts and also add decks to the library. The post attachments are instant, it's just the library that needs some administration 🙂 . You've not done anything wrong

When you upload an image for a post or thread, it appears like an attachment below. Choose where you want it on your post and pick insert on the attachment and it will be placed. You can also drag it around you post to change it's position.

@DanielJUK Hi DanielJUK, Thank you for the heads up. I will try, it seems very easy.

and yes, I would like to add to the Deck Library. I have a few decks which I've not seen yet in the albums. I'd love to contribute! 🙂

No worries.  I have such a busy life, as I am sure do you.

My opinion is that Benebell Wen's creation of the Spirit Keeper's Tarot is a very important event in Tarot history.  She has created an animist deck populated with spiritual beings that we can all access.  I think that she pretty much channeled this whole deck.  I've done all of the exercises for the deck that appear on the videos.  I have yet to complete all of the exercises in the Book of Readings.

One of the most interesting things I've been doing currently -- and this is working with a student, in addition to pulling 1 SKT card for each of her Spirit Guides to better understand them...  we are pulling an additional card for each Spirit Guide.  The purpose of this draw is to determine the lens through which each Spirit Guide helps one to interpret a reading.  Also it shows which Spirit Guide is best suited for certain types of inquiries.  I have modified a spread created by Benebell Wen that appears in her video series on the deck 'Divination Through Creative Journeying with the SKT'.  This uses a guided meditation to step into each Spirit Guide's card No. 2.  We are gaining lots of fascinating and valuable insights about personal growth for the client.

I have the goal to systematically move my way through Holistic Tarot.  I've always been an 'intuitive reader' and a very good one.  This is meant to balance me out by giving me lots of background from a different perspective.  I've been so busy, that exploration has been stalled for a while.  I started as a beginning reader and am working my way up through the chapters.  I highly recommend studying anything that Benebell Wen does with Tarot.

@Natural Mystic Guide  Oh, nice! Thanks for sharing 🙂 I will definitely keep in mind. I think she's done amazing work with the book Holistic tarot. Of course I have not read from cover to cover but I'd highly rank in my top 5 best tarot books.

The tarot decks she's created are stunning! I see she has a 2nd edition on pre-order, I might consider!

I started an intense study on Tarot of the Spirit which has been on pause for a moment. Yep, life does get busy but I feel these things can't be rushed, the right time will come again it always does. Pamela Eakins also has a YT channel, I love listening to her videos. I feel like this deck is so underrated, I never really hear people talk about it. I know it's probably not a tarot for everyone, but it certainly is for me.
