Hello from Vietnam

Hello everyone

I am new, I come form Vietnam. I have been studying Lenormand for 1 year. In my country, it is verry hard to find a goup or forums related Lenormand. So, the source materials are very poor. I discovered this forum yesterday, I am very very happy to know that a forum like this exists. It like a star to guide me learning by my self

When I found this forum, I know that I can learn many things from here. I do not need worry about finiding the teacher who can answer my Lenormand question 
Although my English is poor. I will try to interpretations every cards as the required forum.

I used the Tarot before. I guess I cannot be skilled like you. I love tarot as well, and when I feel I cannot learn by myself. I dropped out 

And I realize that reading Tarot and Lenormand are difference. I tried to separate Tarot and Lenormand knowledge from my head to avoid confusion

I know some small things about how north Italian renaissance art influenced early tarot decks, and I know a little about how the French 18th century cartomancer Etteilla had quite an influence on how later generations interpreted tarot. I also know some things about Swedish cartomancy with playing cards (but @Raggydoll probably know more about that, than I do). When it comes to Lenormand, I'm a beginner.

There exist many parallel methods to use tarot, each with its own merits and disadvantages. There is one method in particular I am familiar with, but I know less about some, and I know nothing about some. There is always more to learn.

 

Certain decks function better when used according to particular methods specific for those decks. Tarot decks form 'families', as it were. The most famous ones (but not the only ones) are: 

• Hand painted north-Italian decks from the mid- to late 15th century (and modern printed reproductions of them)
• Minchiate decks, also known as Germini decks
• Bolognese tarot (i.e. from the city Bologna. It has nothing to do with sauce) 😄
• Sicilian tarot
• Belgian tarot
• Besançon tarot (also used in Switzerland)
• Marseilles tarots
• Etteilla decks
• Tarot decks designed by, or derived from, Eudes Picard
• Tarot decks designed by Pamela Colman Smith and A.E. Waite, or derived from them
• Tarot decks designed by Lady Frieda Harris and Aleister Crowley, or derived from them

And I might add, that, similar to @Dominicos and @Eugenie, I became a user/member here fairly recently, just in the beginning of winter. The first few weeks I lurked shyly, and then I introduced myself. I may seem like a chatterbox, but I'm actually fairly shy. Knowledgeable older users/members here guided me to fall in love with the Lenormand deck. It is an entirely different world than tarot.

LeNormand is easier to learn than Tarot. 36 cards instead of 78!

I'm not expert at LeNormand ... but there are people here who are advanced in LeNormand.

The reading circles are good to practice.
