Stefany Posted April 14, 2024 Posted April 14, 2024 Hello! Could you please help me? I'm very worried. I went to see a woman who read tarot cards for me. She told me bad things about the future and how I have my mother's karma, which will cause all my relationships to fall apart for no reason. How far into the future do tarot cards typically show? Don't they usually predict up to a year at most? Is there any way to change my future?

Secondly, don't panic, take a few deep breaths, grab your favourite beverage and try to relax. So in my opinion and experience, tarot cards can see into the future, but 'close future' (days-weeks) is in general far more accurate than 'far future' (weeks-months-years). This is because the reading gives an indication of where the energies that are currently present are heading. But I believe that you can change the energies and create a different future. Change the energy from its current direction and it'll change the outcome in some way. Consider the reading as one possible option and now you know that you need to ensure your relationships are strong so they survive whatever changes life has in store for you. You're in charge of your own future. (Also for what its worth, personally I don't believe that you can inherit someone else's karma, each person's karma is their own thing, the end). Have you had a reading from this person before? Have they given you readings that have come true before?

Some are reputable, some are not. Some are scammers. Some are inexperienced or in over their heads. Some are having a bad day. I don't know where you found this reader? Have you had readings from this person before? Cards are paper and ink. They have no power of themselves. In the hands of a REPUTABLE and SKILLED reader they are accurate. A GOOD reader would give you a time frame. If I deliver a warning to a client ... I tell them it's for the next 6 weeks [or whatever the cards say]. Without knowing your situation .... a doom & gloom reading with no specified time frame sounds suspect. This reader may be a quack. Or having a bad day. Unlike @stephanelli I've observed generational karmas ... but again ... a GOOD reader won't open that can of worms without offering remedy for the situation. If they charge extra of the remedy RUN to the nearest exit. This is a scam. I INCLUDE remedies [if needed] in the price of the reading. Edited April 14, 2024 by Misterei
DanielJUK Posted April 15, 2024 Posted April 15, 2024 @Stefany I wonder if they suggested going back for "curse removal" or regular visits to "unblock this karma". This is a common reader scam sadly, they tell you something bad to upset you and then offer methods to improve it for more and more money. Even if it isn't that, a reader shouldn't be telling you things that make you feel bad about your paid session. They should offer you options and ways to empower yourself if they did see some not great things in future. Personally I would ignore the reading and not use them again, this is highly unethical! Predictive readings and reading for the future is not guaranteed, it can go wrong and is more inaccurate the further and further you go. As the others have said, it's most accurate in the immediate future. Books often say 6 months. One thing about our future is that we have the power to make changes to it. The tarot tells us one picture or path ahead but we can change that. I personally don't believe that someone could be destined to have every relationship fail, I would put this in the "false curse" category.
Chariot Posted April 15, 2024 Posted April 15, 2024 (edited) My goodness. This situation makes me so angry! It's one of those unwritten rules of ethics that tarot readers are supposed to live by—you never send a client away feeling helpless or hopeless. You may point out problems, but you ALWAYS look for and find ways to deal with the problems. Even if you have to do another reading to address the issue (and you should not charge the client for this addition to the original advice.) This so-called reader needs a good figurative boot up the backside, even if they're not actually running a curse-removal scam, as the other commentators have suggested might be happening. I would say do NOT take anything this reader told you seriously. Instead, once you've had some time to think about things and get them in perspective, consult a different reader. Explain what happened with this old reading, and let the new reader devise a spread that will actually help you. (And maybe shed some light on the scammer and her faults or agendas, if that's what she is.) The reader you've just seen will have had her own issues and perspectives that influence how she sees cards (and the impact she wants to make on her unfortunate clients)—and that's me being kind. She also sounds sadistic to me—if not downright crooked—but hey. Good grief. Edited April 15, 2024 by Chariot
