RickInBakersfield Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 I am thinking about going into one of the larger websites and starting a thread in which I answer questions with just one card pulled. I have done this before but without answering people's questions. Can this be done? Or is it advisable? Rick
Raggydoll Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Yes it’s possible! Some decks might be more suited for this than others, you’ll have to experiment and see what works best for you.
RickInBakersfield Posted July 31, 2024 Author Posted July 31, 2024 I only have one deck, so it's got to do the job. That's the Radiant RWS deck.
DanielJUK Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Yes it works 🙂 It's a simple, basic answer though. People often ask complicated questions, does this guy like me and have the same feelings and is he the same star sign? and then expert a one card answer that's perfect. Change the questions to simplify as much as possible, it's better to divide complicated ones up into several one card questions. A tarot friend who is very experienced in tarot does this. For her own personal readings, she just takes one card each and every time, if she needs to know something. From seriously important questions to minor ones. I talked to her about it and she explained that the one card tells her everything she needs to know 🙂 . You can get a lot from one card
RickInBakersfield Posted August 5, 2024 Author Posted August 5, 2024 Well, I did it. It took a few hours of being online. Anyone out there can you review just how I answered the questions? Any tips or advice? Were my ground rules to strict? Etc. [Link Removed] I didn't do an in-depth analysis of each card I drew because of the time factor. But what did you think about it? Mod Edit: Link to Readings Site Removed
Ferrea Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 I think you did a great job there. Kind of minimalist and on point. Enough wiggle room but also empowering. If you wanted you could clarify the question format a bit. E. g. alternative questions can be confusing („this or that” like in the 10oW question). Personally, I would have loved seeing you working on the AI question. This phenomenon will become more prevalent in the near future. Anyway, thank you for sharing your experiment. That was fun!

DanielJUK Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 Congrats on successfully doing your readings with one card @Shuffletracker 👏 Unfortunately we don't allow sharing links to other reading communities and also this falls foul of our self-promotion link rule as it's promoting your readings. I've removed the link. Thanks for your understanding https://www.thetarotforum.com/rules/

That way I'll have time to go into more detail with it. Rick,
