Well..., I do have lots of Tarot decks, but I'm still searching for my absolute Tarot "soul mate"...

Would love to hear what is everyone else's "soul mate" deck... . A picture of one card would be lovely, too.

:D :D

Not sure if I have a soulmate deck yet but I do feel pretty close to the two Paulina Cassidy decks I own, moreso than with the other decks I own. I felt it almost instantly as I opened them and started to look through the images. Emilija[/member] I've decided that this will be the year I finally give the Shadowscapes a go after years of insecurity and the Mother Mary Oracle looks really nice too.

The Shadowscapes tarot is small, but it gives insightful readings. The Mother Mary oracle is so positive and comforting. It has affirmations and it talks about healing a lot. I pull a card a day, so me and Mary are having a healing journey together.

There is a Czech version of the Shadowscapes that is larger, but I don't think I can get the book outside of the Shadowscapes Llewellyn set. I kinda need it since I don't speak Czech. Will probably give the Llewellyn edition a chance and see how it goes. I've heard it gives good readings though :)

For me, it is the Slow Holler Tarot and the Minimalist Oracle. I feel like these two decks really “get” me.  :)

Though I do prefer Tarot over oracles, I have to say that my soul mate deck is The Faeries Oracle by Brian Froud http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/faeries-oracle/.  There is nothing like that deck, it actually comes alive.

I completely agree with that, Jewel! The Faeries Oracle by Froud is the best oracle deck I have come across so far. Did a reading with it, once, that blew me away.

That's what I always found with the Shadowscapes. I find it too small, but if there is a bigger version, well, that changes things. Would you happen to have a link to it, Page of Ghosts? Both the Joie de Vivre and the Paulina Cassidy look so cute!!

My Oracle choice would hands down have to be Froud’s Faeries Oracle. It was my first ever deck and I haven’t found another oracle like it since!

As for tarot, although I don’t have the deck yet as it’s still being completed, the beauty that is Arthur Wang’s True Black Tarot speaks to me like no other I’ve come across. I find that for such deceptively simple cards they have many layers of rich symbolism which pull from many different cultures.

I do not believe there is anything that can even compare to it.  The Faeries leap right off those cards and into your life.  I have never experienced anything like it.  It is truly a special deck with amazing inhabitants.

Lol I would have to agree with you there! It’s actually part of the reason I made the leap into tarot. I wanted another deck but couldn’t find one that I was happy with and at the time (about this time lasts year) had just discovered the joy of a wonderful tarot forum so as a result got sucked down the tarot rabbit hole ;) Since then it has been my mission to find a tarot deck that speaks to me as much as the Faeries do :D

It's called Tarot Skrytych Svetu and there used to be a listing on Amazon but it's sold out for now. I hope someone lists it again! There are a bunch of other sites selling it but there doesn't seem to be an English language option. ETA Google translate works okay for me on their webpage and I've gone through to the basket and checkout. Seems they do international deliveries so it's worth a shot! They deliver to Norway at least. Didn't buy it but checked the possibilities. I think later I'll get it, 340 NOK including shipping is not too bad for me. Will have to find a way to get the guidebook in English though...

Here it is on the publishers page: https://www.synergiepublishing.com/cs/shop/andele-vesteni/tarotove-komplety/000116_tarot-skrytych-svetu.php

And here is a comparison:

I don't have one particular deck which I prize above all others although the Thoth would come close. There are quite a few decks which give me stunning readings which might mean we 'click':

Deviant Moon

Dame Fortune's Wheel

Tarot of the Sidhe

Bohemian Gothic

Thoth

Absolutely agree that Froud's Faeries is a special oracle - there really is magic in that deck.

My soulmate deck is actually the Mantegna.  It's neither tarot or oracle.  I love it so much and use it so much I have a spare.  It is an old card game similar to solitaire but not really lololol  But I love the deck and play the game all the time.  I will be making a video on how to use the deck to play the game one of these days!

I wish I could get my hands on the Czech version of Shadowscapes.  I think I could really connect with that deck with larger images.

I, too, could connect much better with the lovely art.

The deck that I'm most attuned to right now is the Thoth, like it's unbelievable. I love it so much. I have a very strong connection with my other decks too tho, so I don't think I have a soulmate deck per se.

I will post about it if I end up getting it, and I hope anyone who gets it before me will tell us about it. Won't be this month as any leftover money probably will go towards some fancy paints with crystals in them (Daniel Smith Primatek)... they make some interesting textures :*

The one that can with stand and abound with my spiritual channeling skills and isn't too difficult nor complex on how they work and easy to understand the meanings.
