Natural Mystic Guide Posted May 26, 2025 Posted May 26, 2025 I am continuing to hang out with Lenono Fortune Telling Cards by Paris Debono. Has anyone else played with this divination tool? I think that it is big in Australia. I'm enjoying its twist on the Grand Tableau -- not that I know anything at all about Lenormand. But, hey... this is fun!
fire cat pickles Posted May 26, 2025 Author Posted May 26, 2025 Welcome back @Natural Mystic Guide! I have the Lenormand Black Bella Donna by Paris but not his Fortune Telling Cards.
Libra 58 Posted May 26, 2025 Posted May 26, 2025 I keep going with Tarot of the 78 doors. Monday card is "Ace of Pentacles". A middle age woman is sitting on a big stone in the garden outside a large house. She´s wearing a beautiful green long dress and have some jewellery on and she´s smiling. She´s holding a keyring with four big keys in it. There isn´t much to see on the outside, green grass and some trees in the background. I think that she is the Lady of the house and very proud of that. Maybe she want´s to invite us to see the inside of the house? It´s inside myself I have to look for a new beginning, on the outside there is not much for me to see or work with. I already have the keys, I just have to find the right door to open and start a new project.
Libra 58 Posted May 28, 2025 Posted May 28, 2025 Tuesday card: 5 in Pentacles. An old man is sitting on a bench, outside a doctors door. He looks tired and a little sad. His eyes are closed and he's stick is hanging on the arm and his hands are clasped in what looks like he's praying. He's probably waiting for some news that he already know is bad. I see this card as a reminder that life isn't easy for any one of us, we all have different things to fight.
Bodhiseed Posted May 28, 2025 Posted May 28, 2025 Thank you Fire cat! 🥰 I'm in with the Dark Mansion Tarot paired with Miss Mai's Victorian Oracle: You cannot reach where you are going if you continue to be the same person you have always been. ― Germany Kent The Lovers, besides representing a romantic liaison, also represents a choice. The Gentleman symbolizes pride and power; he would choose what would make him look good and feel as if he was an authority. I once dated a young man who was possibly the kindest, sweetest fellow I've ever met. But perhaps because of being raised by an alcoholic father and a submissive mother, he never learned how to push back on anything. As wonderful as he was, I was headstrong and fiery - I needed someone who could tell me bluntly when I was off the rails. Although it made me feel powerful, I ended the relationship because in it I would develop into a more self-absorbed person. I would stagnate instead of grow. The easy choices we are tempted to make aren't always the best choices.
Rachelcat Posted May 28, 2025 Posted May 28, 2025 Hi all! I got knocked down with a nasty flu and so went incommunicado. But I did my interviews on Sunday, so here they are. And I'm going to try to catch up today instead of pushing into another week, since I just did that . . . This week will be Tarot de Besançon Gaudais Paris 1870 CA. and Divining Poets: Yeats. The tarot is a Besançon because Juno and Jupiter replace the Priestess and Hierophant. It’s also double-headed. The majors and courts have an angled line with the tops of the illustrations right side up and upside down. The only card that turns out really strange is the Hanged One. Because the illustrations are the tops, the poor guy is headless. We just see two pics of his tied up legs. (Pips aren’t double-headed.) As you probably know, William Butler Yeats was a renowned Irish poet who had interest in the esoteric and connections with the Golden Dawn. So quotes from his poetry should work well as divination, right? We’ll see! Oh, and as you see, the decoration on each card is a Marseille-style 2 Coins. Two interviews! What is your most important characteristic? King of Coins The most important thing about this deck is its physical presentation. The novelty of being double-ended kind of overwhelms everything else about it. What is your strength? II Swords I’ll either like it or hate it. Your weakness? 3 Coins Same as the king: Its unique qualities overwhelm its other qualities. What can you teach me? VIIII Swords It can teach me to unapologetically follow my own ideas about tarot. How do I learn it? World Oh, we’re also missing the bull and lion. By sticking with my own system that I know works. What will be the outcome of our work together? 5 Cups Same as the 3 Coins above: I’ll either hate the deck or love it in defiance of common sense. What is your most important characteristic? I will arise and go now, for always night and day I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore: While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavement grey, I hear it in the deep heart’s core. The quotes are rooted in reality but speak of most eloquently of emotion (water and heart). What is your strength? Words alone are certain good. A text-based deck does and will work. Your weakness? Cast a cold eye On life, on death. Horseman pass by! The deck tries to comment on everything, life and death. What can you teach me? A bloody and sudden end, Gunshot or a noose, For death who takes what man would keep, Leaves what man would lose. It can teach me that life is what’s precious, not the physical body. How do I learn it? I have a ring with a hawk and a butterfly upon it, to symbolize the straight road of logic, and so of mechanism, and crooked road of intuition. With both logic and intuition. What will be the outcome of our work together? Players and painted state took all my love And not those things they were emblems of. I will enjoy the words and interpreting them, but the deck won’t really bring me all that profound an understanding.
fire cat pickles Posted May 28, 2025 Author Posted May 28, 2025 Good to see a full house this week! Glad you're feeling better @Rachelcat, welcome back! And welcome back @Bodhiseed 😀
Rachelcat Posted May 29, 2025 Posted May 29, 2025 Thanks for the well wishes! Feeling better but not 100% yet. But it's coming!
Libra 58 Posted June 1, 2025 Posted June 1, 2025 My Wednesday card was Knight of Chalices. A knight is sitting on his horse outside a waterfall. It looks like he´s thinking if he shall ride trough the waterfall or not, is it worth to get wet or not? He has his full armour on. I think of how often I hesitate before I make my decision on what to do about many things. (I´m a Libra!) So whatever I decide, can take a long time before I make a move. Thursday card: 6 in Pentacles. A woman and a little boy is looking out of the door to there house and there is a basket full of gifts on the stair. A surprise for them. It looks like they are rather poor, the house is very simple. Someone was going to surprise me with som gifts that I was not expecting. That was true, I was at a birthday celebration and I got a nice surprise! Friday card: 7 of Pentacles. A woman in an expensive nice dress is standing outside a gateway to an big house /castle and are setting a dove free. At the field next to the big house/castle there is two men working hard with cutting down grass. Maybe the dove flew in by mistake or it was a pet that she is setting free? For me it´s a card choosing between working hard or have leisure for your survival. These cards are driving me nuts! Not like RW at all!
Libra 58 Posted June 2, 2025 Posted June 2, 2025 The two last cards for this week. Saturday card: Queen of Wands. A beautiful woman in a light blue dress, crown on her head, a basket with fruit in one of her hands. She stands under an arch with flowers that is placed out in the nature with green fields and mountains around. I think that everything is growing and thriving in my world for now. I shall enjoy what I have. Sunday card: 2 of Pentacles. A man and a woman are diving in to kristall clear water. The eternal sign is around them. I have two chooses to make and for now I don´t know anything. They are hidden in the future, on this card, hidden under the water.
