Bodhiseed Posted June 16, 2025 Posted June 16, 2025 Thank you Fire cat! I'm in with the Light Seer's Tarot paired with the Tapestry Oracle. When awareness is brought to an emotion, power is brought to your life. — Tara Meyer Robson In a leadership position, the King of Cups must be a good diplomat, listening to what the other person needs and skillfully communicating how that need might be met without conflict. Diplomacy also requires emotional intelligence: the ability to be aware of and manage his own emotions while understanding how they influence his interactions with others. The King connects with his senses to ground himself when emotions are especially intense - the smell of the ocean air, the feel of the water, and the sound of the waves. He has Faith in his technique to calm himself because he has verified it through use. He invites us to try this direct experience for ourselves.
Rachelcat Posted June 16, 2025 Posted June 16, 2025 (edited) Hi crew! This week for me will be Tarot of Tales. It’s illustrated with cute storybook animals. (I recently added to my category list three categories that I don’t want to collect, but I have some decks in them anyway. Anthropomorphic animals is one category, and this fits right in it. The other two are AI and a woman on every card, not including goddesses.) It has kind of an elaborate presentation, with a sturdy magnetic outer box, a hardback book, and a two-part deck box, with ribbons in the boxes and book. The concept is that each reading creates a story. The book has a paragraph for five positions for each card. The positions are “in the past,” “at present,” “from above,” deep within,” and “on the horizon.” I haven’t tried it yet, and I’m not sure how it will work for recording the readings here. I guess I’m not going to type out the whole paragraphs! Let’s try a reading right now with the usual interview question: What will be the outcome of our work together? First just reading the cards, then the story. In the past: Three of Coins Three racoons in a trench coat (actually a cloak) gather apples. This deck is the result of hard work and cooperation. At present: King of Swords A bird king with a thorny crown (in a thorny background) raises his sword high. Now the deck is something I want to learn and master. From above: Two of Wands A two-headed dragon at the fork in the road. Which way should I put my energy into this? Deep within: Ace of Wands From 2 to 1. Dragons enjoy the explosion of a volcano? I WANT to expend energy on this. On the horizon: Eight of Cups A whale breaches as penguins look on from the ice. I will work with the deck to learn and appreciate it, but will eventually move on to something else I like more. Now the story. Well, I won’t go into it here. It didn’t seem too connected, as can be expected by the many variations of the cards. The story parts are written in second person: The main character is “you.” We’ll see how the story thing goes from now on! In the meantime, I’m liking the very non-RWS scenes of the cards. Christina Posted June 16, 2025 Posted June 16, 2025 Hi all 🙂 I'm back with the Phantomwise Tarot and the Flowers of the Night Oracle!
