Hi everyone,

I’m new here, though not new to tarot. I’ve been working with the cards for about 20 years, alongside my background in psychology.

My approach has always been less about prediction and more about understanding patterns, symbols, and the dialogue between cards and the person asking.

I’m glad to be here and looking forward to exchanging readings and insights with you all.

Thank you Joy and DanielJUK.
Since you’re moderators, may I ask if there’s a reason I can’t include @ handles in my posts?

You need 5 posts before you can tag people 😀. The whole forum opens up (reading and exchange areas) and there are no restrictions on posting when someone gets to 5 posts, so you can now do it.

Yes, that worked 😄 Many thanks, @DanielJUK

Hi ...i've been reading tarot for a little over a year so that makes me a beginner..love reading but it has a tendency to drain me...my specialty or at least what i have the most interest in is---love questions...i hope everyone is having a good day!  So glad i'm here.  one question..can someone point me to the terms of use/rules page?  thanks so much!

@green_witch Thank you for sharing a bit of your journey. I really relate to what you said about reading being draining at times. In my experience, practice is not just about learning techniques — it’s part of the path itself. Over the years I’ve found that every reading, even the small or simple ones, teaches something new about the cards and about ourselves.

It’s definitely a long journey, and the need to practice never really ends — but that’s what makes it so alive and rewarding. I’m sure your focus on love questions will give you plenty of insights along the way.

Glad to be sharing this space with you!

My pleasure, @green_witch
I’m new here too, after a very long break from forums. Thought it was a good time to share and connect again. I’ve even opened three free readings in the exchange section to get started!

@green_witch Welcome also to the forum. Why not start your own thread in this Introductions area, and we can send warm wishes to you as well. You can ask any questions about the forum or if you need any help with anything there as well 🙂 .

@green_witch Thank you so much for the kind words! I really appreciate it. If you’d like, you’re welcome to request a reading from me in the Reading Exchange forum — I’d be glad to do one for you.

Hi Joy, can you embellish on how a new person achieves 5 posts or please direct me to the part of forum that talks in depth about it??  Being so new i think i'm a little confused about it.  Ty

Hey @green_witch every post you write counts. So maybe you start with an introduction thread as @DanielJUK already suggested? 🤗

Hey!

I really like the way you explained how you go about reading/interpreting - I do similar things and have had good results! Excited to chat more on here + welcome!

Thank you, @Whaleson
I really appreciate your kind words. It’s always great to connect with someone who approaches readings in a similar way. I’d love to hear more about how you usually approach your interpretations.

Welcome, @BrunellGrian (and also @green_witch!)  I think you will really enjoy this forum, which is VERY well managed and—unlike other different kind of forums I've been on—never deteriorates into unpleasantness.

There are so many levels of development here ...from people who have just acquired a set of tarot cards to people who not only have been doing tarot for years, but who are also very adept at other skills as well—runes, astrology, Lenormand, etc. Some of our members have massive deck collections and special rooms for their collections and works that I'd love to be able to see in person.  Some people are skilled at crafts...from designing and making their own cards, to fabricating boxes and bags to keep them in.  Quite a few people use crystals and understand their properties.  There are lots of exchange groups, where readings and other thoughts are exchanged.  There is a large deck library of cards and reviews.  It's fun to just browse the forums and look for things that interest you, and go from there.  I hope you really enjoy being here.  I know I do!  🙂
