I'm sorry, my dear. Just couldn't resist it and ordered it. Now, I promise that after the ones I just recently ordered, I'm going to wait until December for the True Black.  ;D

~giggles~ Sure you will wait until December to get another deck ~falls over laughing with tears running down her cheeks she is laughing so hard~

And..., you are, probably, absolutely right. I think I'm making up for the many years I haven't purchased any. So many beautiful decks have come out since. My oracle collection was always very low and I find that some of the new Oracles are actually quite fascinating when they're good. I've also kicked myself for not purchasing decks that are, now, OOP like the Tarot of Delphi or the Lebanese Tarot.

The Osho Transformation Tarot is also a gem, altho most do not seem familiar with it. AFAIK it has the same creator as the Osho Zen Tarot and The Tao Oracle. It's an oracle deck btw.

Not aware of this deck at all. Thank you, EK, for the discovery. Think I like the artist on the other two better, though.

I took a look at it, and it is very nice. I think I prefer the Osho Zen and the TAO, but this is indeed a gem. Thanks, EK. [emoji4]

Are these all your new ones, Saturn?  <3 So glad you stopped by.

Really like the Divination of the Ancients and the Cosmic Reading Cards.

I've had the Symbolon for years, but have never really worked with it. Maybe it's time to take another look.

The Tao is lovely. I just bought The Native Spirit which I love and The Power of Surrender Cards.

The other day, I wrote a whole, long post and lost it. I was so disappointed. Yes, the Mystical Moments is lovely! I missed talking about that one. I'm going to try and do what Bodhiseed[/member] does with the one Tarot and one Oracle card reading. It'll be fun to try and marry the cards. It's been crazy at work and I haven't been around, here, as much as I would like. Hopefully, things will settle down a little soon.

I love the Symbolon deck.  It's really similar to a tarot deck but it is not.  There are no messages under the cards.  If you know your planets and astrology you can glean much information from that alone but I use the deck as an extension of a tarot reading (which is how I use all my oracle decks).  I've had readings where the Symbolon card actually turned out to be the main part of the reading so you never know what way the cards will go for you.  I really recommend picking it up and working with it, you might end up loving the deck!  ^-^

Regarding the one tarot one oracle comment, I do 3 tarots and an oracle.  Been doing it that way almost as long as I've been reading cards, which is why I rarely do a specific spread.

MysticMoonlight

I know this is an old thread but I've been MIA for awhile. Perhaps others have been as well.

Isis Oracle...especially good at helping one to heal from old wounds.

Wisdom of the Faery Oracle...always gives thoughts to ponder. Also, the messages seem to have relevance to things that I'm not immediately aware of. After sitting with the message awhile or after some time has passed, I have an a'ha moment!

Goddess Guidance Oracle...poignant and to the root issue.

It surprises me after all the decks I used to use on AT but after 5 years I'm still happiest with the Photographic Card Decks of the Elements and Solar System 8).

Not sure if anyone said this already but oracle of shadow and light by Lucy cavendish. I really like her decks. That one is one of my particular favorites. :)

I am not a big Oracle person. I've had two other oracle decks that I used for a day or two and then let go after they sat on my shelf for months untouched. However, I recently came across this beautiful deck, Crystals: The Stone Deck, and I've been using it very frequently.

I thought this deck would be an economical way for me to get crystal energies without the crystals themselves. Obviously, if I could afford it, I would still get actual crystals. There are 78 cards, each with a beautifully photographed crystal on the front (in its raw form) on a white background, and the name and description of the crystal on the back.  The description on the back includes what the crystal is, who needs it, where to put it, and when to use it. There is also a piece of advice at the very bottom of the card. And the back's color matches the general color of that crystal.

The card stock is nice with a silky matte finish, which I really enjoy.  The cards are longer than typical tarot cards, and it is the first deck that I have not been able to really shuffle because my hands cannot stretch long enough to accommodate it. But I love it nevertheless!

That looks like a well produced deck queenofwans[/member]. 78 cards is more generous than most. As the backs are used for text do you pick cards with your eyes closed?

Yes, something like that! I usually overhand shuffle since I can't riffle shuffle them. I just look away from the cards as I'm shuffling and then will cut the cards and draw a card as I would normally do, except just not looking at the deck. Occasionally, I might use the cards as if they were crystals in my crystal collection and pick a crystal whose energy I need.

Sorry for reviving this thread, but I was going to create similar one before I found this one! Hopefully some of you will join in on this thread too, as I’m running out of decks on my wishlist, yet I gotta keep feeding my deck buying addiction 😉

Currently I am obsessed with Lucy Cavendish and JBG decks! I feel very connected to them and find it so easy to read with them intuitively. I cannot pick one favourite deck, as I use different decks for different purposes.

For shadow work, I really love Les Vampires. I find it truthful and straight to the point, and it’s very good at calling you out! You won’t hide anything from this deck. For daily draws and advice, I love Alice the Wonderland. Another very truthful deck, especially if you use reversals. I carry its daily messages with me everyday and it has really helped me cope with difficult situations. Although I recently acquired Oracle of Shapeshifters, so I suspect I’ll start using that for advice. For weekly and monthly predictive readings, Tea Leaf Oracle is phenomenal! I’ve heard that it can be overly negative. I haven’t experienced that yet, for me it’s a bit of a mix, and it will tell you how it is. I have anxiety so I worry about everything, and it can be reassuring sometimes. It literally told me to stop being delusional when I was super anxious about something coming up this week 😄 (and it was right!). For healing, I have been using White Light Oracle. I haven’t used it super much yet, but I like it so far for my healing process - it has some exercises, and I try to remind myself of its messages when I encounter a problem.

I also recently bought Isis Oracle. I haven’t had the chance to use it yet, but I’m hoping it can become one of my favourites. I’ve heard some great things about it so my hopes are high.

Of course @Saule, we welcome reviving old threads with new posts 🙂 .

Les Vampires was a surprise to me, I had an excellent reading from someone else on our old tarot forum in an exchange and decided to buy it. It's not my usual art style at all, with the anime-ey characters with the big eyes! I think it reads really well and is great for relationship readings and relationship dynamics, I have found.

At the end of the year on Aeclectic, people voted for their fave decks and discussed them and one year, the Tea Leaf Oracle was discussed as the most accurate oracle method. So I bought it from that recommendation. I think it's a really good for calendar style readings, doing the year ahead and stuff. We used to have a reading circle just for that deck back on AT, the combination of the cards give some good messages! I don't think it's overly negative at all but its problem is there can be so many cards! Like you need a large amount of free space to lay it all out and then you have to work on it for ages! :classic_laugh:. It's quite a lot of work! But a good oracle.

I found the Beauty Everywhere Oracle Cards app for iPad very good for that 😻.

It took me a minute to understand this was a DECK. My Greek grandmother read actual tea leaves. Many Greek or Turkish people read coffee grinds [my ex husband read coffee] ... sadly I never had the talent for either. I wonder if the tea leaf cards images are based on traditional symbology? My ex read purely intuitively ... I don't know if my Grandmother went by "classic" symbols or intuitive. She died before I was old enough to ask that sort of question.

Decks? I like Mystic Sisters, Whispers of Ganesh, Starcodes Astro, New Orleans Voodoo. Perhaps not surprising ... Mystic Sisters only seems to work in a group of women ... it does nothing if I use it alone };>

There is a really nice called “House of Nyx” which is based on some YA vampire series that I don’t read and never plan to. I have my own personal associations with the cards and they have a really dark but playful energy to them that I really love.
