Thank you, gregory. Kind of you to find this. :) That's cool.

Thank you Shivani, yes, I think the only difference must be the box (and maybe the LWB?) Since, alas, its an older LS multilingual border deck. I hate these borders, but this deck I like !

I know of a web boutique in Belgium that sells many older LS decks with these borders, and they have different prices depending if the box and LWB are in english or in french  (always more costly for the french version since many people here dont speak english, and are prepared to pay more for the french translation for the LWB - because even for multilingual borders, the LWB often have more pages and more details in english than in other languages. I fell in the trap once, for I wished to have a deck with cards titles in french.... and I found myself with multilingual borders on the cards and a very expensive french LWB, I was unhappy !)

That's too bad! We all go through these experiences. Look at me with one of my recent purchases. Awful.

Tarot of Jane Austen

I actually only recently discovered that it existed, there are some decks for sale but they are....ummm, too out of my budget range  ???

I have it, nearly new! But no book, just LWB. Wanna trade?

I feel quite lucky that when I joined AT, I found some friends who would message me and say I think you should get this deck and I would look if I liked it or not. Some of those decks are really hard to get now! They were much more experienced in decks than me and knew what would become real collectors items. I am not really a collector in terms of making a rare collection or making money from the decks but I am so glad I own those decks! Some I even bought from amazon and now are so OOP!

I do feel that I missed out on some decks before I joined AT but more that I missed out on "the journey" to those decks creation, I read the threads in AT with the author / creator sharing the process and it's often years before I joined. I noticed some of those decks end up reissued. I have got 2 Ciro decks that I missed out on (before my card interest time). I have read such discussion threads about the making of the Diary of a Broken Soul tarot but it's really expensive and OOP now, I totally missed out on that phase of tarot, anything before 2011 was before my interest really started.  I do wish I had bought the Greenwood and known about it when first out, one day I will find a deck :)

I do regret now that I didn't buy more decks as a beginner, especially from abroad. It was MUCH cheaper to buy them abroad because the US$ to UK£ was good! You could buy a deck in $ with postage and customs to the UK and still have saved money, now decks are so much more expensive for us here and I rarely buy outside of Europe. I should have bought every int deck I ever wanted in 2011 :) oh well, you can't have regrets!

My top tip is if there is a deck you like and really want in your collection, buy it then! Especially for none mass market decks by people who create a limited run.

Darned good advice, Daniel; advice that I'm trying to follow as much as possible. Thank you. The upcoming True Black Tarot comes to mind as does the Journey into Egypt.

I have been really, really lucky and the few decks I missed out on my amazing husband got for me for special occasions.

He snagged a Tarot of Amber for me when it was still semi-reasonably priced.  But we won't talk about the final deck in my Folchi collection.    :-X  Many of them I got when they were still available though.  I also happened upon a semi-reasonably priced copy of the Granny Jones Tarot, which I didn't have any desire for until it was LONG out of print.

But I still lament the Golden Serpent Tarot - the 22 card majors from Adam McLean.  I missed it when it came out - I think it must have sold out very quickly.

But I learned my lesson, and I try to keep an eye out for decks I might find interesting before they go oop now.

And sometimes you CAN still find good deals out there.

I should have grabbed the Slow Holler when it was still available. There's a chance that it would get reprinted tho.

Baroque Bohemian Cats!  I think it was still in print when I started my tarot journey, but then when I actually decided I wanted it, it wasn't.

(I keep 'harassing' them on Facebook for a reprint. They told me the artist wants to redo all the art first. Eek!)

same here! I WANT mini with metalic print!XD ;)

Halloween Tarot in a Tin (no longer available on Book Depository for some reason).

I missed out on the news that Tarot Familiars existed (I saw on Gregory Scott's channel on my YouTube timeline, such stunning deck). Thankfully I just missed out on the info but it's still pretty much in print.

I think my two regrets consist of Bohemian Gothic Silver and the Celestial Tarot kit with book.  I had told myself at the time that BG was too dark, and even when I had Celestial in my hand at a shop, I put it back for something else, meaning to grab it at a later time. I figured it was Mass Market, so surely would be around for a long time.  I know I could just get the cards, but I think I need the book too. I just never got around to it.  :-\
