EmpressAdora Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 I do as well! I saw it on fb but I didn’t think it was real 😂😂😂. I think maybe I’ll give some of my items a good cleansing and maybe do some self healing work on the deck. Too bad it’s so cold here though!
Saturn Celeste Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 https://www.msn.com/en-us/video/science/super-blood-wolf-moon-to-light-up-the-sky/vi-BBSpg7u?ocid=spartandhp I find full moons great for certain energy work and I plan to work with this one. Anyone else? It's right out my front window, I intend to bathe in the moonbeams! ;D
GreatDane Posted January 18, 2019 Author Posted January 18, 2019 EmpressAdora and Saturn Celeste.... I shall think of you both as my fellow moon peeps, doing what we do X/ It's been cloudy and it's getting colder here, but I plan on working with this moon!
Bookworm Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 I'm going to try to see the eclipse, but it looks like it might be cloudy where i am. You all might be interested in our little lunar reading group. The January round is here: https://www.thetarotforum.com/group-readings/lunar-eclipse-lunar-group-reading-for-january-2019/
Day Soleil Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 I've been trying to come up with a good ritual for this upcoming full/blood moon. I hadn't thought of moonbeam bathing! I like it. What are some other ideas?
GreatDane Posted January 18, 2019 Author Posted January 18, 2019 Bookworm and Day Soleil - Thanks Bookworm for the reminder! And Day Soleil, I know it's all personal what we wish to do, so what I do may not be what you wish to do, but I use a full moon for ridding. What I DON'T want in my life. I also sometimes write it down on a tiny piece of paper and burn it. Meditate on it. Mileage varies for everyone, that's just what I do that resonates for me and here's to being able to SEE a bit of this moon this weekend!
MysticMoonlight Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 Yes! I do moon work as well, when needed. When I do, it's usually to clear away things that isn't helpful/working for me. I also sometimes do healing work but that's mainly for the new moon for me. For the most part, I work with the full moons for moon bathing (it's awesome to hear others do this too!) and for charging things...given if things need charging, that is. Myself mostly though. I think it's equally important to soak up moon rays as it is to get a bit of sun! I'm a balance kind of girl  (( to my fellow moon peeps! X/
GreatDane Posted January 18, 2019 Author Posted January 18, 2019 Ah another fellow moon peep X/ We seem to think quite alike re the moon, MysticMoonlight! ((

I usually cleanse my cards with a full moon, but since this is a lunar eclipse as well, wanted to do something special. I had thought about burning the scraps of paper I've put in my "universe jar," (my worries I write down and rip up), and think I'll definitely add that to my ritual. Thank you!
RavenOfSummer Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 GreatDane[/member] (and anyone else!)- if you'd like to join a group reading to align with the Wolf Moon eclipse, we have one going on here! https://www.thetarotforum.com/group-readings/lunar-eclipse-lunar-group-reading-for-january-2019/ It's a Lunar Reading Circle, and we actually do a group reading once each month at the time of the full moon. This eclipse is particularly exciting <3
GreatDane Posted January 18, 2019 Author Posted January 18, 2019 Thanks RaveOfSummer. I will go check it out.
Eric13 Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 I'm supposed to have a clear night sky but its going to be below 10 f where I live!
GreatDane Posted January 18, 2019 Author Posted January 18, 2019 Um BRRRR?! It will likely be in the teens here in the Midwest, but I plan to try to brave a few mins outside! Providing snow, wind, cloud cover allows!
Hemera Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 We are going to have a clear and cold and snowy night up here in the north. I will bathe some of my decks and crystals in the moonlight. Isn't this the kind of moon when some of us can become Werewolves? I'm feeling very hopeful! Oh yes, I need to check out that Lunar reading group. Thanks for the hint. [..going..]
GreatDane Posted January 20, 2019 Author Posted January 20, 2019 I woke up this morning thinking I MUST remember to put stones and crystals out. I feel this will be an especially auspicious full moon and plan to make good use of it! I have nowhere I can put my stones outside so the windowsill will have to do. I will be thinking of all of you around the world doing your rituals, putting your stones out as well. X/
Mi-Shell Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 We just came back from a Full Moon snowshoe hike out on the frozen creek beneath our log house. It is -26 centigrade = -14.8 Fahrenheit. But there is quite a bit of north wind roaring, driving the snow across the open space in undulating snow clouds that go up to your knee or sometimes your shoulders. It is weird. It is - with the windchill - 43 centigrade = - 45.4 Fahrenheit. I howled - but even our Wolves are staying deep in the spruce bog, well out of that wind. Now I need a hot cup of peppermint tea and then on to writing my Full Moon diary/ journal. Then it will be time to watch the eclipse :)
Eric13 Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 This is strange. It's about 15f where I live, windy as heck, the penumbra has started, it's crystal clear, I made my 5 card eclipse spread and all the street lights where I live are blinking off and on.
Little Fang Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 It's going to snow tonight (I'm laying over in Pittsburgh for work!) so it's cloudy. Alas. So I'm watching a YouTube livestream!
Flaxen Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 The clouds parted just long enough for me to get a glimpse. Mi-Shell, I’m so impressed that you went out in those temperatures. This little island is generally quite mild and I cannot imagine what that sort of cold feels like. I bet the landscape looks beautiful in a blanket of snow though. :)
Raggydoll Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 I thought I’d post this here as well! Taken when it all started!
Raggydoll Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 It’s minus 20 degrees here so I’ve been going back inside a couple of times to warm up and watch Her through the window <3
Esk Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 Thanks for the picture Raggydoll. The Moon is beautiful! <3 I can watch the eclipse too but unfortunately, because of the city lights, I can't see this great red color. However I'm very happy. The past weeks have been so cloudy, but this night the sky is completely clear :D
