Hello all! I’m so excited to find a forum to discuss tarot. I started reading years ago and have had an on again off again kind of relationship with it but I always seem to come back to my one deck for guidance. I’ve had this deck for almost 20 years now, the Nigel Jackson tarot that I fell in love with when I got it. It helped me transform my life from a battle with depression actually.

I have picked it up here and again over the years but now recently have been working with it more and - after all this time! - finally purchased a couple new decks also. One is the Rider Waite Radiant and the other is the Santa Muerte tarot both which I love.

I am very new at using multiple decks! Really looking forward to getting to know some new folks with a love for tarot too.

Hello @Astrid’s Tarot Realm welcome to the TT&M Family :animated-smileys-signs-085:

Hi Joy! Thanks for the welcome! Just getting oriented 🙂 Wondering what’s the best place to post about opinions on a spread I pulled for myself .... as well as where I contribute to others questions on interpretations?

Hi @Astrid’s Tarot Realm in order to ask for opinions on a spread you did for yourself, you need to have 5 posts, please read our rules:

https://www.thetarotforum.com/rules/

Once you have the 5 posts you can use this section:

Best wishes 🙂

welcome..

ah yes the love and addiction of getting new decks.. in fact right now,, there is a deck called the mermaids in the local star that I want,, and I missed my chance at the crows tarot..it is gone now..

1. it can get expensive.

2. you need a place to store the tarot,

3. there is always new decks these coming out

my advice is to do research of all the tarot decks you,, the old defunct aeclectic tarot and tarot passages have pictures and reviews of decks..

plus I noticed tarot tea and me has been building a deck library..  so b before you spend another cyber penny (can't get a real penny anymore ) look at amazon for the forthcoming decks,, and new decks, heck search by year,, 2019, then 2018.. and 2017..

there are some cool tarot ideas, and beautiful decks coming out ,and have come out.

I have the nigel Jackson, I hardly use it for the pips are half illustrated but good deck.

Hi there! Thanks for the welcome and tips 🙂 I used to have an aeclectic tarot account - yes very useful site still! There are a lot of great decks for sure and I have my eye on a few ... but was disappointed with the card quality - the Nigel Jackson one I have is super sturdy card quality. I know he put out a few - mine has full illustrations on all the pips thankfully! Only thing I’m missing is the original box. Thank you again - look forward to exploring the site here!

Welcome to the forum @Astrid’s Tarot Realm! I hope you learn loads of new things and will be able to share what you already know.

Thank you so much! I’m already enjoying participating - so much to read and get into. Working on some readings for a few folks now. I am learning I need to reign it in a bit lol! I am pretty long winded in what I’m writing out for the first person sitting for me and I didn’t anticipate just how deep I was going to get into it. No idea if I’m on the mark or completely off as I’m very very new at doing readings for others - but I am excited to find out! Thank you again for the warm welcome!

It does happen! But reading for others is a wonderful excercise, you'll find your style you'll see. I'm loving that part of the experience myself since I just do readings for friends and family here and the vibe is different for those. I'm learning a lot!

See you around!
