Kickstarter: Friar's Delight Lenormand, From The Creator of The Cult of Weimar Tarot

I am gobsmacked that this gorgeous, Medieval-inspired Lenormand has not been mentioned around here. It is show-stopping, it is incredibly affordable, and I hope it succeeds. (I backed it.)

Here is a link to the Kickstarter, which ends in 10 days:

All the cards can be viewed here: https://rabbitsmoontarot.com/tarot_cards/friars-delight-lenormand/

And this is the Promote Yourself thread:

I didn't know she made the Cult of Weimar!!  I LOVE that deck!!  I've been thinking about doing it for my past life readings!  I think this Lenormand looks great too.  Let's wish for a miracle as Joan says. 🤞

It looks like it passed it's funding threshold this evening. I think there are two more days in the kickstarter.

Yes I just saw that but it's on the line so if some backers withdraw at the very end...

Actually I like the idea of something medieval for a deck, but for a Lenormand it's not for my taste.

Thanks @FLizarraga for posting about this deck again in the Lenormand section.  :bubble_bthumbsup: I had originally posted in this section,  but now I see it got moved.  I am thrilled to see that it has just reached the funding goal.  Only 25hours left to go!  🙂

So happy this made their goal!

It is such an exquisite deck, it would have been a pity. And now it's funded, and I'm getting a copy, and it'll be all mine. MINE!

Well, today I came home to a lil' package from China. I thought it was going to be a certain *cough* knockoff *cough* deck I bought from eBay (to my eternal shame! Mea culpa! Shame! Shame!), but it turned out to be... *drumroll* *fanfare* THE FRIAR'S DELIGHT LENORMAND!

And it is as beautiful as it was supposed to be, and more. A nice (and surprisingly solid) box, and inside it 36 gorgeous cards in a whippy, satin-like but more matte than satin cardstock, with luxuriously gilded edges. Despite the dark backgrounds, and the delicate aged effect, this is a deck made for reading by candlelight. There is something deliciously intimate about it. (Could it be the dark backgrounds, and the delicate aged effect?)

The LWB is a tiny, 10-page affair. It is simple, and awfully pretty, and of course those who want or need detailed information about Lenormand will have to look elsewhere. Not a problem for me. I'm in love with the deck as it is. IN LOVE, I tell you!

Our rules have it that you need to keep the promotion in the Promote yourself area. I believe you already have a thread there for this deck? Then you could put the link there instead 🙂

Okay. I deleted the link.

Cheers!

Oh, don't thank me, Joan Marie! I love this deck so much. I fell in love with it the minute I saw the Kickstarter, and the finished product has exceeded my expectations by far.

I forgot to mention the tiny decorative bands inside the (already tiny) box. Exquisite (and totally unexpected) little details like these always make my day.

I got mine too. It's beautiful and actually reads very very well. I'm honestly a bit surprised at how much I'm enjoying it. It's really a wonderful deck.

I know this Kickstarter has ended, but I just wanted to chime in here to say that Joan Marie's deck is a special treasure in my collection, and it's the Lenormand I now reach for. If you're at all interested (it's even more beautiful and detailed in real life), then you should just go for it and grab it.

🥰 It's so sweet of you to say all this. It makes me so happy to know how much you are enjoying Friar's Delight.  I had so much fun making it. I think that energy really went into the deck itself. May you continue to enjoy it for a very very very long time! 🥰
