Good morning, TT&M family!

 

You may have noticed that Google went a little crazy earlier when it approved my account and plastered ads EVERYWHERE!  I'm sorry about that.  I was asleep.  💤

I now have it set up where you'll see an occasional ad (it should be on the bottom but they seem to be sticking it in the sidebar).

We just need another small form of income coming in to keep things going, the little bit helps!  Supporters won't see the google ads, but will see Reader ads, which our own members have paid to have displayed.  I ask you all kindly to disable your adblocker so our readers can be seen!  (The ads are small and non disruptive.)

Let me know if you see any ads in strange spots. They should be at the bottom and sometimes on the side! 

I always see them at the side on the front page, very neatly in the layout and there is always one at the bottom of the first post in any thread.

Like Daniel, I see a small ad in the first post on every thread (screenshot).  I actually only made my way here, because I was wondering if my subscription had run out, so thanks for the notice here to explain the situation! And thanks for all you do...

Those aren't Google ads and those will remain for all, as they are readers who have paid to be placed there. 🙂

Thanks - when those humongous ads were happening, I turned adblock ON because the overlay asking me to turn it off was less annoying.
But I've disabled adblock again and so far, so good. :)

The ads are less invasive now, smaller and kind of humorous. It looks like they paid a hobo to pose for this one.

I just got one for the Cats musical on Broadway and I'm quite happy for that one, hah!

Experimenting a bit more.  Unless you're a supporter, you may see a few more.  Testing it for a little while.  (Granted, if you don't like them, subscribing isn't so bad. 😉 )

This sounds good, it can take ages for things to arrive from outside the UK 😍.

It's fine, they're only showing before I sign in. So I have to refresh a couple of times to get the good ones 😉.

Oh!  Ok that is good, since all permissions are correct as far as I can see. 🙂 

On that note:

 

IF ANYBODY SEES AN AD THAT IS INAPPROPRIATE, PLEASE REPORT IT TO ME THROUGH PM, WITH A SCREENSHOT IF POSSIBLE.  I can block the offender.
