Gypsy Cards (Zigeuner) New Book In English

I heard about a new book in English for the Gypsy Cards (Zigeuner): Gyspy Cards in a New light by Vesna Balaban, but if it was available apparently it isn't anymore.
Well, I open this topic here if someone one day will hear something about this book.
I looked on ebay or else and nothing. Just a page on facebook where a few people ask where they can buy it but no answer...

it's a legit & big book by Vesna Balaban & Zel El

English translation is hard to get (think they were selling digital book via amazon but get copied & decided to remove listing?;)

Finally I sent a little polite message to ask. It was read but not answered. I won't insist here.

I give a little update here because she finally aswered my question (2 months later!).

The physical book isn't available apparently but a Pdf seems possible. Paypal isn't an option though, the option offered is Western Union.

 

Actually I would probably did it with Paypal but it's highly recommended to don't send money to someone you don't know through Western Union.

Lots of people take ages to answer. (I email regularly with Ciro, and just recently it was 15 weeks before....) I wouldn't hold that against her.

 

But how much is she asking ? I too refuse to use WU (not least the FEES) - in the UK there is also Moneygram.... But when I have been desperate - I have sent actual CASH in the post. Where is she, by the way - there are a few countries where Paypal refuses to go.

I don’t know where she is living, and she didn’t ask much for the Pdf too (11 EUR).

It’s too bad for this little deck that I find cute if this Pdf is worthwhile! Maybe I’m too suspicious!

Hey! Just to say 11 euros for good pdf sounds ok to me!:D & think my country have good option to sending money to Serbia (I belive it's where she is & it's right next to my country as we are all ex yugoslavia along with Croatia you maybe hear of?; ) anyway we are all quarantine now tnx to virus crisis & why she probably replyed! ^^ I guess she don't know english or web design as it's common knowlage for younger people but older are usually clueles & Serbia is probably worst as they don't have a paypal!x.x so if you wish I'll ask her for pdf & maybe even talk her in publishing with pod moment my windows is up &let you know if we sort it out?;) All Best! I have it in digital format - bought it from Zel back when it first came out back in 2012 or 2013. 

It isn't the be-all end-all - I'd have preferred a more tradition-oriented approach. But it's a decent book and certainly worth the price. Probably the best you'll find on this deck in english.

I need to take the time and think about what could be an opportunity. With the confinement (here too!) we have time to think!! Of course we would all prefer to be a bit less confined, well...

11 euros seems fair. I would try cash - it's not a huge amount to lose, at worst. I may be being unfair to WU - but the last time I considered it, the fees were outrageous. I rather suspected she might be in a country with no paypal. That can be VERY annoying.

So I would love to get the book"Gypsy Cards in a New Light" in english. Does anyone know if she still don´t have Paypal?

That book came out in 2009 and I suspect it's just no longer available.
You could get similar benefits from this video, though. It features the 52 card Art Deco deck, but the cards from smaller versions are contained in it: Journey, Widower, etc.

I know a lot of youtube is really bad, and I won't even vouch for all of this guy's videos, but this one is really good. 🙂
