Unfortunately the issue isn't fixed for me, but what appears on my screen (screenshot posted above in this thread) isn't exactly the same.

Could you post a screenshot @Decan of your view now, if possible. It would help us solving the problem

Also to add, do you have any blockers or javascript filters on your browser?

It's exactly the same than what I posted before (below), and as you can see not exactly the same than the Rose Lalonde's screenshot

Otherwise, yes, I have usually a blocker (Adblock Plus, I'm on Firefox), so I deactivated it but this doesn't change things. It must be my destiny 🤕

I logged with Edge then with Chrome, same issue.

Any news from the technical support? I could be a cold case, why not. Generally, I don't insist and just let things go; actually it's what I did one year ago when I reported the issue. Could be an omen to focus on divination only, possible.

Sorry, I forgot to reply, it was fixed a couple of weeks ago! Check it now?

Yes, I know, but as I said above in this thread things are still blocked (exactly the same way) on my side.

Never mind.

I'll bring it up with them again. Tech issues are never omens, tech just sucks. 😂

Just one more thing, a minor issue.
When you subscribe, you're automatically put on auto renew. I don't want to change my subscription, but I make it a practice to avoid automatic payments period. I'll decide myself what to do when the time comes around, and I don't want things I've possibly forgotten about taking money out of my account and potentially making me short on things like bills or rent.

The thing is that when I click "cancelled" here, it doesn't take me anyplace that actually gives me the option to cancel. I managed to do it from the paypal site, but it would be much better if it was a one time payment to begin with.

Apparently turning off auto renew also causes one to be unable to Resub. They just got back to me and are working on a patch.

There is no option for one time subs, and there is no way they can make it cancel from their side the way paypal works. 😞

Decan, please try again, tech fixed it.

Yes. They need to make one. Why not just send out an email reminder in 11 months and ask people if they'd like to resubscribe?
It's not just Invision. A lot of services will literally slam people into that. When it's not through paypal you have to fight tooth and nail to get it turned off. It's a trend that needs to stop.

True, but clicking "cancelled" just takes you to an invoice. It would look a lot more ethical for them to have it link to some kind of explanatory text saying that you have to do it in paypal and explaining the necessary steps.

That would be more effective as a collective push, but I guess it couldn't hurt. It really does make them look bad, like they're hoping people don't notice or forget.

What's a good email to reach them?

Ooooh - I can raise an army. Sounds good. 😁

ETA: It looks like you have to pay to even post in the forum! Yeah, there's a free trial period, but forget it. This tells me everything I need to know about the way they operate. There's no point trying to reason with people like that.

That's odd. I'm in, have been for ages and I haven't paid.... I did post when I joined, but... I suspect that's just to set up a forum with their software...

I'm still in....

Huh.
I made an account and went to the forum, but it didn't give me an option to create a topic...

Try to reply to a preexisting topic? Or email

I found a preexisting topic, but it's not letting me reply. Not sure if you can see this?

Apparently, as of October 1 there was a way not to be pushed into autopay, but Invision made it problematic. Here's the OP:

"Been having a bit of a problem with subscriptions.
Forum has 6 month "Gold Membership" and 12 month Gold membership that allow for a few added features. No issue there.
However, I cannot pinpoint the exact problem, but it seems as though when the subscriptions expire, if the members don't renew in time, they get marked as inactive. At that point, some say they don't have the option in subscriptions to sign up again and lose the ability to renew.
I think there is also a tie in with subscribers who cancel their recurring Paypal payments and want to do them manually.
Some I granted manual subscriptions to, and when those are expired, they cannot sign up for a new subscription and are locked at inactive.
Looking at my inactive subscribers list, I cannot see a way to make them active again. I am not stupid I think....but this is making me feel stupid.
I've gone round and round the settings and looking for a way for a subscriber who has gone inactive to renew from that date again and become active.
I feel there needs to be more documentation around subscriptions.
One member I added to the 6 month subscriptions list, and he is now listed as a Gold member....but still listed as inactive??
Any help please...and thanks."

I suspect all of this is intentional. I'm not casting aspersions on LF - AT ALL. It's Invision that's shady.

I don't seem to be able to post any more - so I am guessing I was on the trial thing. Try their email then ?

Might as well.
They won't attempt to fix the problem since they apparently consider us no more than sheep to be sheared, but they need to get lots of b**chy emails.

Just to let you know that the technical support solved the issue!
