mim Posted December 3, 2019 Posted December 3, 2019 Hi there! You can call me Mim or Michele. I live in the middle of nowhere and I'm in my early 30s. I already know how to use Lenormand cards, but I'm starting to get into tarot and playing cards. I'm very interested in learning how to read the French Tarot, which has different cards from the more widespread tarot. I can't seem to find much information about them beyond the actual table game. I bought an older deck that really spoke to me, so I'm sure there's something out there. A pleasure to meet you!
Lady Butterfly Posted December 3, 2019 Posted December 3, 2019 Hi @mim, and welcome to the TT&M family!
jupiter Posted December 3, 2019 Posted December 3, 2019 Hello @mim, welcome! We're in the same age range. Nice to meet you 🙂
stephanelli Posted December 3, 2019 Posted December 3, 2019 Welcome to the forum @mim! By the French Tarot, do you mean Tarot de Marseille (also known as TdM)? If so we have a thread about that over here which you might be interested in!:
mim Posted December 3, 2019 Author Posted December 3, 2019 @stephanelliOh those look lovely! But no, the tarot I'm talking about is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarot_Nouveau# I'm really drawn to cartomancy from cards that double as a game. The trumps are all so beautiful and have wonderful themes with reversals. That's why I was hopeful!
