Here's a card, whose number is the foundation to the Tree of Life. A number of strength and power, inner power. The warrior who will soon be welcomed home with a parade and some energetic rewards later on.

A card that represents staying faithful to your purpose.

Thats some of my feelings about it.

Love your interpretation! On the other hand when I see this card, I think of someone is protective of their surroundings, someone who can have a bit if trust issues , especially when letting anyone around things that they love , also someone who is a bit of a pessimist and doesn't fall for just any old trick in the book , someone who works hard and will let that be known if needed to stand ground with that 💚

I have always also thought of this card as being a "gate", or representing the idea that you have to pass through, or get the mans permission...or maybe more like have some kernel of knowledge that will allow you to pass. I like the 9 concept of Strength though, and see that as an allusion to having the strength to take on the challenge of getting past the barrier.  I can't tell whether the white peice around his head is a bandage, or like a hair tie...but it tells me that he has been working hard to master the barrier

Totally agree with the aspect of pessimism, trust issues. I pulled this card once asking about a guy I talked to online who seemed so paranoid I'd lose all attraction to him once I asked him to send me a photo of himself at that moment, hah!

I look at this card as someone who's persevered and endured a lot to reach their goal and might struggle with losing their connection to the external world as they feel a bit paranoid or untrusting of any exterior influence while having achieved their goal. They still carry onto that defensiveness present in the seven of wands but this time its all in their head as they've gotten very close to attaining their goal.

To me the card shows a warrior, worn and wounded but the bandage does not show blood, so he probably has some old wounds he still caries around. He is bolstering himself on the wand in his hand, so i might assume his wand is his preferred solution to everything that approaches him. So on one hand it shows me the battle worn warrior, who made it through all his fights, being wounded but a survivor. On the other hand side it shows me the warrior that is caught within his behaviour of fighting unable to put that aside to use different solutions or approaches, pained by old wounds he can not overcome or leave behind.

@lucksmith I ike that one.

He cannot leave what he truly is.

A person asks a reader a personal question about their life, the reader pulls the 9 of Wands and has to tell them to accept what they really are.

@Eric Yes, nice summary of the one side of that idea i tried to put into words. I guess it depends on the question. It might maybe mean something like becoming aware of your "fixed behaviours" and once you are aware you can work on them ... as always, can be drawn out in any direction infinite but you got the idea. So i'm glad you liked my idea and if it gave you some helpful hint or a new perspective on the card that is all what it should be 😀
