Raggydoll Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 This was brought to my attention by dear @Flaxen and I felt like this great news needed it’s own thread. I have been wanting this deck for a very long time and I am so glad that I will finally be able to acquire one!
Flaxen Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 Yes, I’m very pleased to see this too. I’ve wanted a copy for a long time but it’s never been available at the right price and right time for me. It will be good to have an affordable copy.
Rose Lalonde Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 (edited) Glad to see to coming back in print. I said it on the other thread, but this was my first 78 card reading deck. Not Like RWS at all, so it was an interesting deck to be my starter, but a lot of power in Toppi's art. (I'm a fan and have both of his decks, but prefer this one.) With the way this deck tackles early human life, from its joys to the daily realities of death and survival, I thought is was better for the 'big' questions or for basic necessities. Or at least, asking it about something like how to deal with a co-worker who keeps taking my parking space would get a response that would only remind me of how insignificant my question was in the scheme of things... Not that that's a bad thing to be reminded of. For several years I've been heavily into tarot correspondences, astrology, hermetic Qabalah, etc, so I haven't been reading with this deck's unique-to-itself system, but who knows where the road will lead me. Even if I don't come back to it, it was the right deck when I picked it up shortly after my mother died. The mother symbolism and facing up squarely to the fact that death is universal were a great comfort to me at the time. Edited December 31, 2019 by Rose Lalonde
Bodhiseed Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 Wow, this is great news! I've been interested in this deck for a long while, but I've not had the funds (or desire) to purchase an original at an insane price. Thanks for letting us know @Flaxen and @Raggydoll!🌻

Thank you so much for sharing this ❤️ I’ve had a similar experience with Tarot of the Crone.
legendaryelement Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 I am using the Comparative Tarot deck for the next 13 days. Is there a website or document that goes more in depth with the Origins/Primordial base?
AJ-ish/Sharyn Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 (edited) not likely in a Lo Scarabeo production. but the LWB that came with the original is less generic than most of theirs. A deeper study as opposed to quick readings will make you dig down in yourself to uncover some basic you. I find it painful but useful, not everyone would. edited to add, there is an incomplete deck study thread here that may give you a jumping off point, but I still think you'd be better off excavating yourself with this deck. http://www.tarotforum.net/showthread.php?p=3064316 Edited August 23, 2020 by AJ-ish/Sharyn

Mab Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 This is great news! Even if I could have sourced one of the original version, I doubt I could have afforded it. And thank you for directing us to these wonderful insights about this deck. Feeling very positive...🙂
