Raggydoll Posted January 14, 2020 Author Posted January 14, 2020 Three of Fire By Gregory There are so many ways to wait. Waiting for someone to arrive. Waiting to hear about the job. Waiting to die. Waiting for Christmas. Waiting for your wedding. We all need to learn how to wait constructively, otherwise we can get very passive about it - just waiting for something to happen wastes a lot of time and energy, and is in no way progress. Raggydoll Posted January 14, 2020 Author Posted January 14, 2020 Four of Fire By Little Fang Sekhmet, the Ancient Egyptian goddess of both war and healing, a great protector, has finished her battle, and so she rests, joyful in the idea that she has guarded the people of the Two Lands, so they may live and play another day under her watchful eye.
Raggydoll Posted January 14, 2020 Author Posted January 14, 2020 Five of Fire By Zedekiel 5 of Fire is seen as a card of conflict. Although the conflict can manifest as an outward disagreement or struggle, that is usually only a symptom of what is really going on. The 5 of Fire points to the internal and the external bumping heads. What you want/believe/think internally is being denied by the realities in the external. The realities of the world or of another person, either way something doesn't line up and what feels like chaos ensues. 5 of Fire recognizes this conflict and also admits its futility. Win or lose, the struggle is somewhere else.

Raggydoll Posted January 14, 2020 Author Posted January 14, 2020 Seven of Fire By JulianneVictoria A young girl, who lives life in her own way – maybe she’s a little eclectic; maybe she’s drawn to uncommon traditions and lifestyles; maybe her beliefs don’t fit the norm – often finds herself up against the flames of judgement, of disapproval, of others’ fears and projections. In spite of this she has the strength to stand in her own truth and to let her own inspiration ignite her true passions. The Seven of Fire is about one who stands authentically in their own being and in their own power, one who truly holds power in their own hands.
Raggydoll Posted January 14, 2020 Author Posted January 14, 2020 Eight of Fire By Endy The Eight of Fire speaks of a period of action and high energy. Like a wildfire, this energy moves forward despite what is in its path. Don’t try to fight it because it will happen whether or not you are ready. This period might feel overwhelming, like you are being pulled in multiple directions. Try to focus on one thing at a time and you will see this period through unscathed. When you embrace the energy, you will have the power and ability to complete whatever project or task lay before you.
Raggydoll Posted January 14, 2020 Author Posted January 14, 2020 Nine of Fire By Geoxena The difficult, challenging times are past. Whether the task was successful or not, whether the battle was won or not, whatever the outcome - you cannot change the past and there is nothing more you can do. It is time to heal, recover, replenish your energies, and move on. Accept support and kindness from friends, loved ones, and others; if no one is offering, ask. Direct kindness and compassion toward yourself. This is the time for giving up the fight and letting go of expectations - not dwelling in the past. Live in the present and nourish your body, mind, and emotional well-being. Artist's Statement: The Nine of Fire (or Wands) is often interpreted as "stubbornness," someone postponing the inevitable, or refusing to accept that the fight is over. It is also sometimes said to be about gathering one's strength and inner reserves to keep on fighting, to keep the battle going. In contrast, my goal was to depict someone who is recovering from severe challenges, and on their way to healing from it, not just stubbornly refusing to accept it. I wanted the main figure to be a soldier, surrounded by her military medals and a photograph of her in uniform. I then changed the photo (on the mantle) to be less clear and more ambiguous as to who it is. For, whether it is her own uniform she is clutching to her chest or that of a loved one, the situation is the same either way: she is far away and lost in her thoughts, replaying in her mind the events of a difficult or traumatic past (however far or recent it was). She is having a hard time letting go of her expectations and disappointment over the outcome. Once I chose to create this card, my drawing for it came together rather quickly. I wanted her to appear somewhat bedraggled and very pale, as if her life force had drained out of her, while the robust hands of a loved one enter the frame with a healing cup of tea. The message I hope to convey is one of accepting what is, accepting kindness from others, and having compassion for oneself. I used Prismacolor and Faber-Castell colored pencils on Arches Hot Pressed Watercolor Paper, 300 g/m (140 lb.) weight.
Raggydoll Posted January 14, 2020 Author Posted January 14, 2020 Ten of Fire By Day Soleil The 10 of Fire surfaces when we're taking on so much of other people's burdens, we unwittingly turn into a conduit for that kind of energy. As always, there is a choice in terms of what you decide to take on internally and arc back into the world: is it helping you and others overcome challenges, or are you enabling, fanning the flames of negativity and propagating your own burn-out in the process? You are burning so bright right now, you may not be able to see the situation clearly. Relax and tune into what's going on inside. You have the power to gracefully step out under your own powers and channel positivism into the world. Keywords: burdens, self-sacrifice, over-achievement, choices, channeling

Raggydoll Posted January 14, 2020 Author Posted January 14, 2020 Nurturer of Fire By Tia She is spirit.Vitality and confidence radiate from her like heat from the growing sun.She is a protector, giving light to those who can not see in the dark, inspiring hope through her very being.Love is her connection to the world,to life itself. It fuels her passion. She wears her heart on her sleeve, and although her determination and courage are her strengths, being open and vulnerable is what makes her truly powerful. She embodies creation and destruction, going through cycles of being reborn from the ashes of her old self like the Phoenix.
Raggydoll Posted January 14, 2020 Author Posted January 14, 2020 Elder of Fire By Pen Although an Elder, she is full of energy, fire and a passion that can be felt the moment she walks into a room. She balances the creative fire between her palms and it seems to some like magic – how does she do this? She is unafraid to walk the fire, to take risks that others wouldn't contemplate, and her charisma and confidence draw admirers and followers, although there are others who are antagonistic towards her and suspect her power. This is a lady who will do as she likes and who cares little for the opinions of others.
Raggydoll Posted January 14, 2020 Author Posted January 14, 2020 Ace of Water By Flaxen The Ace of Water signifies a new beginning whether of a creative project or an emotional experience. The sea water represents the abundance of feeling and the moon is a reminder of strong emotions and creative flow. The gold colour of the cup symbolises the richness of this new experience. It is a time to relax into the flow and the outpouring of love available to you. Happiness and a feeling of connection to Source is prominent.

Raggydoll Posted January 14, 2020 Author Posted January 14, 2020 Three of Water By KaiNo The theme of Three of Water is plentitude. Abundance is the keyword derived from Mercury in Cancer and Binah in the Suit of Water. Appreciate life with joy, celebration, and union with others.Artist's Statement/Vision:I do not want to add too many directions on how to interpret this card. This is entirely up to oneself, we all emphasize different things. But here are a few words about my underlying thoughts as to why the card ended up the way it did:The way Three of Water is interpreted is based on Mercury in Cancer and Binah in the suit of Water. The keyword "Abundance" is derived from this. And for me, it's natural to include astrological glyphs on the card. The cards number is three, and Binah (Sephirot # 3) can be interpreted here as the sea.Joy, celebration and union with others are also important aspects of the card. I try to show this by the women appearing from splashes of water out of the full cups, dancing and bursting with joy and energy. The pomegranate is a message to take advantage of the luxurious side of life and appreciate the richness and abundance. It is also an indication of union with the heavenly just as union with others. It's also a symbol of fertility, prosperity, abundance, and generosity. The background image in the card is meant to indicate having a good time and appreciating life. At least to me, the beach gets me in that mood.Maybe you catch a glimpse of the I Ching Hexagram carved into the sand before the swash of the waves washes it away. The hexagram extends what the card has to say, balancing an idea that could become too extreme.I prefer Haindl's way of associating hexagrams for cards, where he's chosen a hexagram that fits the whole picture, which for this card is hexagram #28.The meanings of hexagram #28, "Excessive Pressure.", can be expressed as:Something is about to collapse. Huge pressure causes an imbalance that needs to be corrected. The central idea is crossing a line; you've reached a tipping point. You are on a path of transformation. It's the last great act before the popular withers. In conclusion, I briefly mention that the book "Tarot Companion: An Essential Reference Guide" by Tracy Porter uses hexagram #54, "Careful Affection", for the Three of Cups.
Raggydoll Posted January 14, 2020 Author Posted January 14, 2020 Four of Water By Wanderer The Four of Water represents rebalancing of ideas, and time spent contemplating situations. The person on their journey of discovery has followed a stream through a forest, and suddenly arrived at a confluence: four streams converge into one, but the view is surreal. The river flows straight on, through a tunnel of overhanging, ancient oaks, with a distant view of light at the end. The figure stands uncertain, shoulders hunched; the view does not seem real, for natural rivers are not that straight. What is the light at the end? Are those even lines of trees deliberately placed, and is this whole landscape artificial... or just a dream? What have they been following on their journey so far, and has it been the path that they thought it was? Do they need to reconsider all that they knew? This is the result of being faced with a mystery, and the realisation that things are not what they appear. There is a need to examine your assumptions, and trust your instincts; if something feels wrong, accept that it may be, and take the time to analyse it. Beware, though, that one delusion is not replaced by another... the tunnel of light focuses the mind on what lies ahead, but hides the world of the forest to either side. They may be at risk of not seeing most of the world around them, because of this misdirection: the light illuminates, but is empty, whereas the darkness is full, and overlooked. Combined with the sudden need to re-evaluate, there may be a sense of bewilderment, and isolation. The certainty that led here has left the figure completely, and they feel vulnerable. They focus on the light ahead, but make no move towards it. How deep is the water, and how strong is the current? What awaits them at the end, and do they truly want to find out? They stand, immobile, churning over the anxiety within them, and unable to step forward because of their self-doubt and fear of the unknown. There may be answers in the forest, but they cannot see them. There may be peace in the light, but they cannot reach it. The turmoil inside must be settled first.
Raggydoll Posted January 14, 2020 Author Posted January 14, 2020 Five of Water By Grandma The Five of Water is a card of disappointment, bereavement, and regret. The loss in my representation of the Five is immense. Tears pour from sources of pain that never seem to empty, forming a river of sadness. The four cups from which the loss flows may be seen as four aspects of despair suffered by one person, or as the pain of four people. Either way, note that while the colors join together, they don’t merge. They retain their discrete colors, they remain separate in their unity. The experience is shared, but not completely. This pain is greater than the sum of its parts. Hope remains in the fifth cup, holding flowers which perhaps are watered and made poignantly beautiful by sorrow. Has the mourning figure walked away too quickly? Might she have remained with her pain, compensated by the glory of the blooms? Or did she make an agonizing decision to forsake what remained good in her life as necessary to leave the unbearably bad behind? This card tells me to reach across my pain. Salvage what I can. And if I cannot retrieve what I left behind, I will be comforted that others will rejoice in its glory. Nonetheless, I must dry my tears and continue on my journey. There will always be pain and there will always be joy.
Raggydoll Posted January 14, 2020 Author Posted January 14, 2020 Six of Water By Delta A cosy scene from someone's living room. Intimate surroundings and warmth. A flower tapestry on the wall, with three shelves and an old photograph. The photo shows a boy giving a flower to the girl and they're both smiling. Sweet memories of the past. Friendships, family. Middle shelf features five vases with flowers, and top shelf features one vase, the same flower as the one given on the photograph. Nourishment and growth. Treasured gifts. Two cats are lounging on the bottom shelf, black one sitting, white one resting. The conscious and subconscious. Light from a window is projected over the whole scene. Transparency of the elements indicate that all is transient. Upright meaning keywords: Memories, daydreaming, friendship, family, kindness, gifts, blossoming, existence, transience of time. Reverse meaning keywords: Stuck in the past, refusing to let go, melancholy, depression, nostalgia, living in the past.
Raggydoll Posted January 14, 2020 Author Posted January 14, 2020 Seven of Water By Wanderer The Seven of Water represents our need for a fantasy world, and for creating the things that we want in our minds. The Fool sits barefoot in a ruin, her clothes ragged... but when she sits on a crumbling throne, she closes her eyes and looks inwards to imagine the situation that she dreams of. Is this a bad thing? A good thing? It is, after all, delusion: she wants to escape from the reality into a better place, and this can waste time and energy as she fails to accept how things really are. However, it can also be a healing process... by creating and experiencing what she desires, she can feel the emotions flowing through her, and let them pass away. The pleasures of the imagination are still pleasures, fleeting though they are, and there are times in life where we need them... The landscape outside the ruin is a cold, sunless equivalent of the painting the she imagines, with warm seas and white clouds. This represents the fluidity of Water and its transformation from one state to another. In one form, it nurtures the flowers, and in another falls as snow, freezing and killing them. The emotions are just as malleable and fluid, and just as affected by circumstance. Sometimes, we need to let them flow as they will, rather than trying to control them. We must accept them, and water them, allowing them to grow. Unless the dark clouds build, the snow cannot fall, and the meltwater cannot nurture the plants come the Spring. This card is a reminder that dwelling entirely in the imagination can blind us to reality, but visiting there can help us to understand and accept it.
Raggydoll Posted January 14, 2020 Author Posted January 14, 2020 Eight of Water By Pen As the full moon rises above the distant hills, a cloaked woman walks by a stream in a water meadow, dropping eight remnants of crumpled and torn letters into the water to be borne away towards the sea. Her face is turned towards the Moon, partly obscured by thin cloud. This card is about discarding old relationships – with friends, lovers, familiar objects – that have proved negative, disappointing or are simply outworn. The rising Moon represents the pull of new dreams, not yet fully visible (no plan is yet in place), and care and courage will be needed to negotiate the watery pools, small streams and boggy areas before the Querent reaches the comparative safety of the hills and what lies beyond.
Raggydoll Posted January 14, 2020 Author Posted January 14, 2020 Nine of Water By Gregory Time to celebrate. The project is completed, the prize is won. Raggydoll Posted January 14, 2020 Author Posted January 14, 2020 Ten of Water By Aquarhapsody The 10 of Water is about completion. A rainbow fills the sky, cups (representing water) surround it. This is emotional fulfillment, a period of well-being and happiness. The heart represents family; the 10 of Water is togetherness, enjoying the company of those you love, whoever they may be.
Raggydoll Posted January 14, 2020 Author Posted January 14, 2020 Novice of Water By Jewel The Novice of Water is “Earth of Water” elementally, as represented by the wooden cup she emerges from, and her being in the act of transforming from her water form into an earthly form. She is ethereal. Part of this world just as much as she is part of the otherworld. Though inexperienced and innocent, her pose shows that she instinctively carries the sensuality of her element. The art palette and paint brush reflect her creativity, imagination, and emotional manner of expression. Through her intuition, imagination, and creative expression you experience her sensitivity. Her smile reflects the joy and wonder with which she sees the world, with a knowing that there is more to it than what our eyes can see. She is a dreamer. The Undine is a reflection of her soul and her eternal connection to the element of water. Other symbolism included in this card: The fish in the cup talking to her speaks to her imagination, sense of humor, as well as serves as a reference that her messages are delivered with empathy and consider the recipients emotions when being delivered. The cup she is emerging from is made from the wood of a Willow tree, which is associated with the element of water and its magic. It is also flexible like our young Novice. The inlays in the cup are Abalone or Paua Shell which is associated with the imagination and the energy of the ocean. The heart inlay is of red coral symbolizing life energy and vitality.
Raggydoll Posted January 14, 2020 Author Posted January 14, 2020 Explorer of Water By Geoxena This card represents a fun-loving, youthful, and carefree energy, which anyone of any age or gender can embody. This Explorer of Water is always the life of the party – especially a beach party – and a free spirit brimming with charisma, endlessly playful, with many admirers. Love, affection, and romance come easily, though monogamy might not. The Explorer of Water seems young and a tad immature, but feels emotions intensely, and has a compassionate, sensitive side. People are comfortable around this Explorer and are often charmed and surprised by their gallantry, gentleness, and willingness to listen, all mingled with a need for fun and adventure. Artist Statement: Every time I pondered how to depict the Explorer of Water, I couldn't let go of the idea of a beach party kind of guy. I kept imagining him as a “muscle beach” superhero who isn't quite ready to save the world if there is still fun to be had or a party to attend. I decided to draw him water-skiing with women on his shoulders and a crowd of admirers on the beach, while later he walks his granny home and carries her groceries for her – with the hopes that the card conveys a sweet sensitivity in addition to the fun-loving party animal. I used a mix of Tombow, Pentel, and Koi water-based markers, Sakura Micron pens, and Pitt art pens, on Strathmore vellum finish Bristol paper, 270 g/m (100 lb.) weight.
Raggydoll Posted January 14, 2020 Author Posted January 14, 2020 Nurturer of Water By Stephanelli The Nurturer of Water focuses on the feminine mastery of the watery element - the emotions. She is calm and in control. She knows what she feels but understands that emotions rise and fall like the tide and everything must be allowed to run its course. She is loving, tenderhearted and deeply intuitive. She wants nothing more than to sit with you and help you find the same peace of mind that she has.
