Avalon made an update on youtube. She is going through a personal crisis as her husband just left her without any warning. She is now alone with her children in their off grid property and her ex husband has moved into the bigger house that they finished building only a short while ago. 

 

Presumably this will delay the project further but there isn't that much left to be done before its up to the printers and to the chinese distribution center. So hopefully she enlists friends to do the last bit and then has it over and done with.

I don't believe we will ever get it. I have not believed in it for a long while. And what happened to the friend who was helping her ?

 

ETA what that vid is an HOUR long. She could have used that hour to work for those of us who have paid her.

Thank you! I signed up for her newsletter.

 

She just posted a YouTube video this morning. It is long and shares that she and her husband have recently parted. She does state briefly that she is still reviewing and confirming shipping addresses for the pre-orders.

Yes - as she has been doing since mid December when she said she only had 81 addresses left to do. The video is very long, yes, and par for the course. I shall try and contact Ana. I have emailed Avalon several times and all she ever does is send me her "update" notes - which say almost nothing. I am not much impressed by the video. An hour of tears which she could have spent on addressing decks. Five minutes of "this has happened; thought you should know" is quite sufficient.

 

Geez - when the Hermit's Lamp in Toronto burned to the ground taking the entire stock of rare decks with it, we who were on the mailing list just got a note saying "don't come; the store is no longer there; I shall reopen somewhere else when I can." It took someone else, even, to set up a fundraiser to help the owner.

 

Sorry - but there have been so MANY issues with this one, over such a long time, that I am not impressed with the video AT ALL.

 

ETA @FindYourSovereignty - ANA has a newsletter ? I can't see one on her site. MANY Of us are signed up to Avalon's. It isn't that helpful. To put it mildly.

I am glad you will contact Ana. I hope she has some way to help out, but she is probably busy with her other projects. If I understood things correctly then she has created and published her own deck since they begun with bonestone, without any delays.

My apologies. I should not have said ‘her’ newsletter. I signed up for the Bonestone newsletter. And I agree completely about the video - didn’t bother watching all of it, and all of the recent videos of Avalon’s. This ‘woe is me’ and the excuses appear to be the story she is creating for herself. To be honest, none of it makes sense - hire someone to help you get these out the door and to the people that have supported you in good faith.

She of all people should know that getting this off of her plate would release a huge weight and open the door for new energy to come in. I get that we don’t always see the forest through the trees, but she reads enough for other people that she must see similar scenarios in the lives of some of her sitters. There appears to be something in this story for her that she is not letting go of. Odd indeed and very unfortunate.

Yes it does feel like a huge block.

Avalon just did a facebook update and the deck is printing in February. She has signed a printing date with the printers and they estimate that it will take them 12-14 days to finalize the printing process. The leftover decks will be re-listed on etsy in the last week of January. She said that she has put all her other projects on hold to finalize this as soon as possible.

She shouldn't have had any other projects running at all, given what has happened with this one.
