good morning VG, is the library closed this week? Crazy times we are living in.

I'm using my lovely Ostara Tarot this week, Ostara is next Saturday. Thank you.

I'm hoping the libraries close here. My daughter received a stack of DVDs with drool on them from a patron yesterday. 🙄 A little common sense and common courtesy would go a long way right now.

I'm in this week with the Shining Tribe Tarot paired with a set of wooden animal tiles.

@Bodhiseed It surely would! I don't know how it is where you live, but I can't go anywhere around here (ANYWHERE!) without seeing some man spit on the pavement. WTH!

Thank you for the thread, @VGimlet 🌷🐤

I'm in with the Edmund Dulac Tarot.

Yes, my library (King County Library System) is closed until at least April 13, as are most of the surrounding county libraries (Pierce, Seattle, Sno-Isle, Timberland).   Right now staff are still reporting to work, and I'm working next week but I may not the week after  (I'm a bus rider).   We'll see.    It's crazy times we live in.   As someone who is married to a person with diabetes, and lives next door to my 85 year old father-in-law with multiple issues I'm not worried about myself, but am concerned about them.

I'm in this week with the Mystical Dream Tarot - took me a bit of debating.

I'd like to participate with the Tarot of the Pagan Cats.

I, too, am amazed at how careless people are being in some ways but panicking completely in others. A friend of mine reported that he went to the store and that they were out of toilet paper, but fully stocked on soap.

My library will close from Wednesday until the end of April. Thus I will go and get some books to keep me company these next few weeks as I will be working from home until further notice.

My tarot companion for the week is once more the Mary-El and as my oracle I've picked the Apesos New Tarot by Anthony Apesos.

Stay safe everyone and look out for one another.

Again with the Archeon Tarot. I have my musings about the cards in my journal, and Death is the next card I need to make an entry about. Unfortunately, the forum is so slow and laggy and doesn't load completely right now so I can't edit my post.

This week I'll be using the Shining Tribe Tarot, a deck and book set created by Rachel Pollack and published by Llewellyn. The oracle I'll be using is a wooden set of Animal Tiles, hand pyroetched by my multi-talented friend Carole Beasley. My draws this morning are Nine of Rivers (Cups) and Spider:

9rivers.jpgspiders_0002.jpg

Pollack suggests the number Nine represents confronting the truth. Here, all the cups of delusion have been shattered - the myths of the perfect relationship, career, health, bank account or prestige that were supposed to bring lasting happiness. Perhaps this was the epiphany of Albert Camus: "In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer. And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger — something better, pushing right back." Spider reminds us we weave our own webs. What is external may impact us in some way, offering us a choice to rant or repair, but only the latter will bring about positive change.

When we are not attached to who we think we are, life can move through us, playing us like an instrument. Understanding how everything is in continual transformation, we release our futile attempts to control circumstances. When we live in this easy connection with life, we live in joy.

Sunday night we got the news - no staff either. At this point we are home for 2 weeks at least.    It may even end up being longer than we expected (we were thinking back to work on March 30 - but we will see...)   The good thing is we are on paid Admin. Leave, and there may be some things we can do from home - which we will track and enter as regular pay.   It's a whole new thing....

My cards today with the Mystical dream - Opportunities - Spirit of Pentacles - which I read (this morning) as I may have the opportunity to work remotely.   Challenges - The Sun - Making sure everything is tracked  as to what will/can be done, and how much time it takes.    Outcomes - 7 of wands - Because what I can do from home will be highly visible and I'm pretty tech savvy I will be in an advantageous position when it happens.

I wasn't sure if I'd like this deck, but I'm finding the limited colors and bold designs very appealing.

Glad the staff has been dismissed, @VGimlet. My daughter ended up taking unpaid leave because they still were requiring the staff to show up and had books being delivered and sent by couriers (my husband is 71, and she worried about him more than herself).

Yeah my husband and his brother (who is 60) both got sent home to work.   Let's just say, it's been interesting.   He and I have different working styles.   Plus, I'm used to getting interrupted a lot when I'm doing things (library - we work at projects on our desk and get interrupted all the time - he does not, LOL).    But - I'd rather be safe.

I did my deck interview with the Tarot of Pagan Cats. It gave me a lot of "lovey" answers, which amuses me because so did the Mystical Cats Tarot. Apparently they are all very affectionate cats. 🙂

They recognize a cat lover! 😄

Hope all the DoWers are feeling well and hanging in there with sanity intact! 💚

Isn't that a lovely thought! 💖  I expected the Mystical Cats to be a "softer" deck, but thought the Pagan Cats would be a bit, well, sterner. But that's why we have to get to know our decks, right? 🙂
